Oh boy! people talking about Gamboa's chin...who did get the **** KO by JuanMa in less than 3 min?
it will be a good fight,but PDL has an even worse defense than Gamboa,and Gamboa hits harder.
and now salido is a class C? things i have to read here!

 

This version of DeLeon is not the same that lost to Juanma. He fights alot more agressive now and his timing is off the charts. He's not fast, but that timing reminds me abit of Tszyu. Not fast, but has an uncanny ability to land punches on opponents cleanly and perfectly whether they're moving back or forward. I think Chris John beats all these guys, he's a no bull**** fighter with no flash, but simple, effective boxing, but regarding DeLeon, he shouldn't be overlooked and he's on a path of vengeance. This ****er is all business and he's out for blood. Escalante was a decent fighter I expected him to pull an upset, but clearly DeLeon isn't one dimensional anymore and he's good enough to pull an upset over Gamboa or Juanma. Right now I pick Gamboa by decision, but just barely. He clearly beat Salido, but in no way did he kick his ass. Salido is no C class fighter because if he is then Gamboa has alot to worry about.

 

besides PDL should avenge the embarrasing loss to Lopez before trying to prove anything with Gamboa... or is he afraid of Lopez?

I can agree with most of what you said. Except I don't think a fight with Gamboa and Ponce goes the distance.. Someone is getting stopped. And John is often left out of the conversation but he is the top guy right now until the dust settles ..

 

I was thinking the samething, but during the fight the commentators were saying he did want a rematch with Juanma more than anything. I admit, DeLeon has gotten better, but he should be careful what he wishes for. Juanma would have a mental edge over him, but he hasn't looked that impressive lately. Either way it would be a fan friendly fight and someone is getting ko'd.

 

Yea I think I was just giving Gamboa the benefit of the doubt and in the Salido fight when he knew he couldn't stop Salido he changed his style abit boxing more and throwing bombs less. But no doubt lucky for Gamboa Salido was not a big puncher and more of a pressure fighter. During the fight it made me wonder how Gamboa would of fared that night against a pressure fighter that can punch like Juanma. But yea if somehow Deleon can take Gamboa's power and neutralize Gamboa's speed it would have the makings of an upset. I'd still like to see how well Deleon can handle taking a punch.

 

Gamboa will prove too quick..he'll be moving alot and his handspeed will bother Ponce....Gamboa prolly get dropped too...his chin isn't great...Still dont think it will be enough..

Hey I have a great timming against my 2 years old grandkid, of course he is going to have timming agaisnt that kind of opp., Gamboa is another kind of beast, wake up, Gamboa is not Escalante. "but in no way did he kick his ass" So the 3 knockdowns and almost every round won, is not an ass kicking for you? The only reason he was not kod is because Gamboas own stupitidy, that's about it, Gamboa did what Cobrita Gonzalez and juan mauel marquez couldn't do.

And he didn't ko salido because of the foul, remember you could b a big puncher and press the fight, but if you have a guy in front of you that is faster and can punch too, you r going to pay dearly for every punch you throw, and Juanma, PDL, Caballero and John all had being hurt before, everyone of them has shown that they could get ko, on the other hand Gamboa has being on the mat, but I haven't c him hurt like Juanma (Mtagwa, Concepcion) Caballeros (Rojas) PDL (Juanma) Johns (Juarez)

Shocker Freddy thinks Ponce who got ko by Lopez in the 1st round thinks he got a great chance vs Gamboa. Wait why did i say shocker? Ponce is a mexican lol.
