    even with the bad performance that gamboa showed in his last fight, i still think gamboa will ko de leon in the early rounds. gamboa is fast and a hard puncher though with less accuracy, he can still connect one big shot against a stationary de leon.

    after 4 rounds gamboa pitty pats, juanma drops bombs so you can't even compare......

    if ponce can survive (which is pretty likely) the early rounds, ponce will knock gamboas block off......

    Most of those knockdowns, he wasn't hurt. Gamboa will destroyed Ponce like theres no tommorow. You think Ponce can ko Gamboa cause Ponce a mexican. <<<Admit Freddy you mostly go for any mexican fighters.

    too bad ponce didnt last the first round against juanma so we cant really compare:rofl. anyways, yeah if ponce survives the first 5 rounds, i can see gamboa losing strength and gas, ponce is a big puncher too so i agree, he could knock gamboa out.

    I don't think anything has changed... the fight could have gone either way last time, and it could go either way this time. I dunno why people thought that had to be such a turning point for PDL. Whichever guy caught the other solid first was going to win.

    Gamboa did not look all that good in his last fight at moments he lost control of himself when Salido challenged him

    And even after losing control, he won about 10 or 11 rounds. He is a great fighter indeed! :good

    I've never seen gamboa hurt in a fight,taking a full count... cant say the same about PDL.
    the thing with this freddy guy is that whatever smells mexican -it could be a taco or a tequila-will beat any other boxer.Recently he is targeting cubans,and i understand he doesnt feel good about the Gamboas,Laras,Rigondeuax,Ugas...he was predicting Salido upsetting Gamboa,and now says salido is shot dude.
    Now PDL, after beating someone with a pedigree less than impressive.it shows like a hope of a mexican able to beat Gamboa...but i say again, De leon should be thinking about avenge the embarrasing loss to Lopez.

    he got caught cold, it happens....besides that, when was the last time ponce was even hurt....he fought caballero though, something gamboa and juanma **** their pants over.......

    due to the lack of his opponent.....if that was ponce and he smelled blood, it would've been ovah SON !!!!!
    especially after the worried look on gamboas face......ponce would've made him wanna defect back to cuba with the quickness :bbb:bbb:bbb

    im really fond of both fighters but Ponce has too many shortcomings. The biggest one is that he's SLOW! Just a classic, plodding, heavy-handed puncher. He does have some pretty decent timing though. But his punches and footwork are dismally slow. Any boxer who have fairly fast footwork would make him look REALLY SLOW...
