I had a good laugh when I saw this , so many overmatched opponents and it's fitting it's someone who he had beaten twice and looked like he'd have another easy defense against that beats him .

    Naito upsets Pongsaklek!
    By Joe Koizumi
Unheralded and unexpected Daisuke Naito (31-2-2, 20 KOs), 112, Japan, amazingly captured the WBC flyweight belt as he fully frustrated long-reigning defending champ Pongsaklek Wonjongkam Kratingdaeng-gym (65-3, 34 KOs), 112, a Thai southpaw, with his tricky mobility and roundhouse attacks in earlier rounds, withstood the champ’s furious retaliation in the ninth, and earned a close but unanimous decision (116-113 twice and 115-113) over twelve heats on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan. Pongsaklek, probably due to his overconfidence with his previous wins over Naito, wasn’t as sharp and fast as usual, so his last surge couldn’t overcome his early deficits on points. (More to come)

A ***** to face a fighter he already beaten twice. Picking easy fights came back to him.

That's funny. Pongsaklek ducked a lot of guys and lost to one he had beaten twice before.

Has anyone seen that fight yet? Japan is not unpopular for point-robberys, too (like here in some European countries, f.e. Denmark, UK, France, Germany).

Well, the judges were neutral (US and Fillipino), so I'm guessing that it wasn't a robbery, but you never know.

In Pong's post-fight quotes, he admits he was beaten, and says he plans to keep fighting for 3 more years.

As for the Ring title, I doubt Sakata will go unbeaten for much longer (I believe he has ANOTHER mandatory with Parra coming up, who's already beaten him 2 out of 3), and once he loses, a Donaire-Navarez matchup should be easy to make.

I give a ton of credit to Naito- regardless of what we think of Pong, it ain't easy coming back and winning a fight against a guy who's stopped you twice before in pretty lopsided fights.

There were also so-called neutral judges at Ottke-fights in germany which some people called a robbery...

Maybe I will watch this fight this weekend

Wonjongkam probably got poisoned by the Japanese promoters like Roberto Vasquez did a few weeks ago...
