Despite Wonjongkam winning the first fight (1st round KO) and second fight ( by technical decision due to an injury) Naito shows that he belongs in the ring with the long reigning champion and even manages to win in their third fight Naito, breaking Wonjongkam's 17 title defense streak. Their final fight ends in a draw.
