I wanted Pong to get 100 wins!! He might retire now out of anger and frustration, He lost to a journeyman.

A couple thoughts now that I've had some time to think about it...

-Wonjongkam is still a top 10 flyweight of all time. I'm not sure he needs to retire...

-Not to belittle Jaro, but this is a gigantic upset. That is always the danger in fighting guys of any caliber who have significant power.

-Looking at his career weights on boxrec, Jaro has constantly fought at 105, 108, and 115. Maybe he settles at 112 and shows us this is no fluke?

    -Haven't seen the fight, but I want a re-match.

-My first thought was: Wow, some promoter has to be excited to throw a bunch of money at Jaro to face one of their boys. Zanfer has H. Marquez and Segura I believe. As easy pickings as you'll get for the lineal title.

I don't think Pong needs to retire. He still looked like Pong, just may'be a bad style clash. The one that came to my mind while watching it was Mayorga and Forrest. A far, far superior boxer, getting beat by a sloppy, unorthodox pressure fighter. As that old cliche goes, styles make fights.

Guess Jaro hurt Pong early really well and Pong never really recupperated. Bet in a rematch Pong wins easily. Anyway, great upset, huge props to Jaro!
