Thanks so much for looking over the fight. It really says they're at 107? Weird, I'm almost positive boxrec has Pong at 105 for their first bout.

What do you make of Pong's early consecutive losses to Jerry? Was it simply a learning curve against a dangerous and seasoned opponent?

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment on my channel. I try to stay modest and keep the quality as high as possible. I'm hoping good things will come out of it

I don't link it on here directly saying it's mine much. Kind of an open secret? :hang:ohno

Search for One Stop Analogue Video Shop on Youtube. I'm doing a big upload today. :hang

Absolutely 107 for both. It's when you click on the video the first thing you see is the Thai Michael Buffer Khun Damroung say Pong is "loi jet pound"....then he says Jerry is "loi jet pound towgan" loi means hundred, jet means 7. towgan means the same or equal. So for sure it's 107 pounds. If it were 105 it'd be "loi haa pound" haa means 5.

Man, boxrec really is as inaccurate as everyone bitches about... though I do my best to contribute though that medium as well. Sigh. Thank you again for your help sir, it's appreciated. Let me know if you ever want to get into cahoots uploading stuff or doing something together. Defintely let me know if there's anything I can ever do to help you out.

That's very kind of you. I'm happy to translate any Thai stuff you need doing.

I have thought about re uploading stuff again, but i was far less busy 6 years ago when I was doing it, 2 kids now. It's a shame I have all this material. Maybe I'll start again.....

There is an ozzie promoter I used to follow on FB that will post on his personal page asking for fighters of a certain weight and experienece only days out from a fight because someone pulled out.
Always novices or amateurs against each other so never disgusting mismatches from I could see.

Gah, that's extremely frustrating. I'm turning 30 in a few weeks and getting older and having less time is tough. I can't imagine juggling children along with it....

I have a lot of footage myself, accumulated through a few channels over the years, a few rarities and oddities but I doubt I have anything compared to you. Almost want to ask you if you're willing to sell any of your footage, even if it's "just" digital copies of them.

I've been collecting and archiving boxing footage for almost 15 years now... Kind of making it an ambition to save what needs saving and making sure availability stays high for fans of the game. I'm anti-hoarding of material and go out of my way to share stuff, even material I paid for out of my own pocket. I think it's the "right" thing to do if there is such a thing. It's history, and if we aren't able to watch these fights are we really able to enjoy or experience that history?

I have several hundred Verbatim DVD's (Supposed to be high quality DVD's meant for archive purposes that are supposed to last for decades) full of content and quite a few hard drives. I'm uh... I guess I enjoy it? Sounds like you're sitting on a treasure trove, makes me jealous!

Nah, don't be too jealous most of it is Muay Thai related going back to the 50s, I'd say only about 10% to 20% of it's actual western boxing. And of the boxing it's all Thai related. I know I've got boxing from every era since the about early 60s. I know a few are rare, but alot of it's out there I think. Well if it wasn't before my channel it has been since because I know people were copying things and uploading.

My channel focus was classic Muay Thai and some early kickboxing so may have missed or skipped over certain boxing bouts. I didn't upload everything onto my channel, I hadn't got through it all, I was very random. I'd grab a volume that rung a bell or had a specific fighter and upload anything of interest. I started buying this stuff in maybe the mid 90s and continued up to around 5 years ago, a mix of video tapes VCDs and DVDs.

Anyway, maybe this is the shot in the bum to start going through it again and I'm very happy to share. As you do I believe these fights should be out there not hidden away, I never understood that mentality.

It's good to meet a fan with a fellow mentality... Sometimes I feel like the better and more obscure the footage someone possesses, the less and less likely they are to share. Hence the fans with the largest, most diverse and potentially enriching collections are usually elitist pricks. Just seems to be the way it goes.

I'm pretty random with how I select and go through what I do have... I just get into moods I suppose.

Have you ever traded or sold footage before?

Never traded or sold but not problem if some one wants to. I built this collection up from a training point of view rather than a decision to build a collection as a “connoisseur” just a library of technique for me. I’ve always had the ambition of owning a gym in Thailand so in the back of my mind had the idea to build up a library to show young fighters, an ambition which I’m getting closer to.
