In light of recent events and the winding down of a brilliant career, maybe it's time to start evaluating his all time placement.

Where does Pongsaklek Wonjongkam fit p4p all time?

Where does he place all time at flyweight?

    P4p: nowhere to be seen.
    Flyweight. Top10 is reasonable.

Not in the top ten at Flyweight. Longevity, yes, resume, no. Ability, no more exceptional than many I've seen.

I´m not sure......he isn´t great in anything, but is good in possibly everything.......great longevity, but Flyweight is a deeper division than most people think......
Not sure if he is a top 10 IMO......I never did a flyweight list IIRC.....

Seriously, people who spend all their time making those lists just baffle me. Why go through the headache for something so subjective, that no two people are ever going to fully agree upon? (ie, they might be locked in step through twenty but will diverge in their forty...or in rare cases it might take eighty...or a hundred...eventually, though...)

A current p4p top 10 or maybe 20 makes sense, and usually it's more or less agreed upon by acclamation throughout the boxing fan community and media. Anything much longer than that, or trying to tackle an exhaustive historical list - what a huge time-wasting pointless cluster****. :? There are just so many variables, so much arbitrary subjective nit-picking and it's nigh impossible to justify every little quantification.

Determining ratings - either classic or modern - just within divisions is difficult and subjective enough. Then you throw in the mind-bending what-if ****** wrench of "take weight out of the equation"? Jeepers creepers. People have really lost sight of why the coin was termed for ol' SRR.

It was meant to give credit to whoever is currently the best pound for pound fighter, irrespective of weight. Not who the top earner is, or who would win in a huge melee between all the world champions from different weights (since obviously the HW champ would have a slight edge. :yep) Just the best, as SRR was in his day...or PBF is in ours. Or that can maybe extend to the ten or twenty best. Beyond that it's just unmanageable and silly.

And people take it so seriously.:lol:

Flea won't be happy with these top ten placings when he sees this thread.

If you want bonus "**** off"points, tell him that wilde is a lock for number 1

He isn't deep in the top ten...but he's got the tip in there, wriggling its way through the sphincter. :hey

Of course we take our lists seriously, IB. I mean, I, for instance, was just informed on a general forum thread about Zab Judah that I'm trying to get "brownie points" by being smug because I'm an online warrior virgin who was bullied as a child. So, I ask you, why wouldn't I take my lists seriously? Also, Pong is #1 Flyweight and #10 ATG, p4p and anyone who disagrees is going to be sodomized. Not by me. ...But by a hobo I turned into a zombie, in my basement. He's very, very susceptible to the power of suggestion. :blood

actually i was really hoping for your input. this is one of your areas of expertise. based on longevity, you don't see him in the top 10?
