I ran down the post history and, for the first time in my life, I truly felt like I could connect with Shelley Duvall. Terrifying stuff

Just spotted Wonjon's latest win. A first round stoppage of a man called Nimrod who was making his pro debut. Odd.

 

Not odd at all. 'Nimrod' (WTF!!? Mental moniker even for the Siamese) probably has had 100 pro' kickboxing fights.

These 1-0 or debuting Orietel's often spring the upset. In Pong's case, he should actually be avoiding these non-entities now as he's all over the shop.

meh, he was great definitely but his huge lineal reign isn't exactly clear cut.

I mean would anyone have expected him to beat darchinyan or donaire at flyweight? His opposition really dropped whilst those guys mightily impressed in each fight they had.

Beating komeda was a huge boost for his legacy.

 

In fact the supposed 'lineal' claim is easier to dispute than that; Yong Kang Kim was likely robbed against Chitalada. Therefore 'lineage' returned tithe Thai, passed through Kittikasem to Arbachakov to Sasakul to PACQUIAO to, eventually Pong'.

So his title reign might well be as prestigious as Samson Dutchboygym's WBF reign, but with better opposition. But still likely the worst flyweight championship oppo' other than Wilde, and that's due to lack of info'. Wonjongkam's generally above average (at best) oppo' is hidden in plain sight.

And as I say, 24 hour weigh in's have screwed up the lower weights. If Wonjongkam would've had to weigh in on the day his physical prime would've been shredded by excessive weight making just as Chitalada's and Kingpetch's had been.
