Has anyone had a punt on this one, if so, what did you bet and what odds did you get?

I think he means the Irish Public. Everyone in Ireland has been a presented a picture of Poonsawat being a better version of Kiko Martinez who caught Dunne in round 1 over 2 years ago. Dunne was 4/1 against coming into the fight against Cordoba and we were all really shocked he won. That didn't stop us packing the O2 though :)
Anyway I can see Poonsawat winning this due to his physicality but at the same time what a lot of casual and non Irish boxing fans don't realise is the difference the strength and conditioning coach Mike Mc Gurn has made. He hasn't given Dunne a better chin but his strength and stamina are really improved. No way Dunne fighting 2 years ago could have put Cordoba down in the 3rd round. nit in my opinion anyway. I don't think Dunne will give Poonsawat the chance to take him out early as he learned from Kiko not to get involved. Poonsawat may put him down later in the fight. Dunne is probably going to be the toughest opponent Poonsawat has faced though given his form and improvement. The bookies have it evens more or less with Dunne a very slight favourite and I think thats about correct. check out www.paddypower.com for updated odds.

This should be a great fight. I'm picking Poonsawat in the upset, but it's pretty close to an even fight. Dunne's chin scares me a bit though.

You think Dunne is better than Sidorenko? Also, Cordoba was beating Dunne until the KO, and Poonsawat decisioned Cordoba.

Well first off Wladimir Sidorenko is a bantamweight while Dunne is a superbantamwieght. Secondly the fact that Cordoba drew twice with Wladimir Sidorenko (at the lower weight) suggest Dunne could be better then him yes. But I find it irrelevant given that their 2 different weight categories. If I had to compare them, I'd say given Dunne is at the bigger weight, yes- he will be the toughest opponent to date that Poonsawat faces.

I've read that Poonsawat is having weight problems. Is there any truth to this?

it was confirmed today on rte. Poonsawat had to take 4 attempts to make the weight! Don't think it will effect him he didn't look drained.

Oh ****... but he made weight, didn't he?

Don't think anyone can overcome 4 attempts without being drained to death... Interesting. Pictures?

yes he made the weight on his 4th attempt. I'd normally agree about the effect of draining but Poonsawat still looked in god shape. He looked strgoner around the petrol muscles in his chest but Dunne seemed in overall good shape. Too hard to tell I think.
