You obviously haven't seen a lot of Kelly's fights!

 

I've seen enough to know that his strong point is his 1-2 and that he lacks punch variety or inside fighting ability. It isn't really a bad thing, its got him this far already, he has an excellent 1-2 and he will attempt to use it to its fullest against Hopkins.

He certainly won't want to be anywhere near the inside where he struggles letting Hopkins time him and tie him up before he can return fire.

I didn't see a problem with his little jest, he basically said he pittys the fool who attempts to beat him with a right hand.

 

but pbf backs it up...and pavlik is certainly as confident as BHOP..just because he doesnt have diarrhea of the mouth doesnt mean he is now confident

 

You are correct in your statement that his best punches are the 1-2, but you wrong in his ability to mix it up.

If you go back and watch Kelly's fights, pre-Zertuche, you will see he has a good left hook, a great ability to bang to the body, and a nice upper-cut.

His last 4-5 opponents were susceptible to the 1-2. He used it to setup the end. Once he hurt them, he used a variety of punches to finish them.

Hopkins may be more respectful of Pav. partly because of the negative feedback from his Calzaghe trash talk.

I understand B-Hops frustration here and for the first time ever I actually side with him. Hopkins has nothing to prove and despite what most think Pavlik still has a great deal to prove. He's been champion a year but that does not make him this invincible ghost that most of th U.S would have us believe. Pavlik says he will knockout B-Hop and B-hop knows better. He's beaten better than Pavlik in his time and was not trashing him for having a good right hand at all. He was trashing the fact that Pavlik is limited to relying on that one punch. i know Pavlik is very good but you must all admit that Hopkins has a point here. Pavlik is very beatable, it will take aomething special to acheive it but I think Hopkins could fit the bill.
A question though... I f Hopkins does beat Pavlik, How does that affect Joe Calzaghe's stock in the U.S? Not only for choosing not to fight Pavlik but for his beating Hopkins?
