Poor judging once again marred another night of great fights.

I guess I just watch too many other sports. A win is a win whether it's by 1 run, goal, point, round etc., These wins, loses, & draws to the wrong man/men are men's livelihoods they are messing with. I'd come unglued if I did my job correctly only for some douche inspector to tell me I did it wrong, or they are going to give credit for the job to a co-worker who ****ed up their job.

Understandable, but any sport that can be determined by judging, rather than a greater accumulation of points, tends to lend itself to subjective viewpoints more than sports like baseball, football, basketball, etc. If you leave a bad impression at the end of the job and leave a task or two uncompleted, another observer might be inclined to provide an unfavorable report on your whole performance. That sucks and it isn't fair, but that's the way it works sometimes.

Anyway, I had it Korobov still winning and would personally be inclined to swing toward the 97-93 score than a draw. But that's just me.

Giving Hurd three rounds is generous. Giving him five is corrupt. You can't go by CompuBox, it is just clowns sitting at ringside pushing buttons.

Korobov won this fight without question. He racked up the early rounds and seriously hurt Aleem. I would have scored it 7 rounds to 3 with Korobov fading late. You have to be consistent, guys. You can't in some fights say you score it round by round and in others say Aleem was stronger at the end and therefore got him at the wire. The only chance Aleem had of winning this fight was a late KO because he was too far behind on the cards past 6.

Preaching to the choir in terms of proclaiming a Korobov win. But since two judges were able to find two rounds to give to Aleem (probably because he threw more and made enough incidental contact to offset Korobov's much cleaner punching in their eyes. and the fact that the crowd was pro-Aleem), that late round fade made the fight closer on the cards than it could have been. Korobov had Aleem hurt...but didn't seal the deal and that came back to haunt him.

Korobov definitely won 6-7 rounds in the fight, he fell apart (again) at the end though. A draw is very suspect but then, he's fighting a nondescript guy, why would they wanna rob him?

J-Rock vs. Hurd was also a fairly close fight, J-Rock won, but Hurd upping his activity rate (which everyone knew he was going to) made it tighter. He just had absolutely nothing on them to put J-Rock away by that time.
