Poor Sam Peter

I dunno man, I think if someone acknowledged those things, that they would be telling it like it is.

Peter has always been awful.....poorly conditioned......and in need of a real trainer that will get his ass ready to be fighting at a world class level.

Even Shannon Briggs said Peter was "garbage". I've always agreed. I can't say that the Peter from the Wlad fight was even as bad as the version we saw tonight. Thought that ain't sayin' much.

I pretty much only post in the lounge now. I only come on here for amusement and to make predictions and laugh at people like these clowns.

So I get where you're coming from. But when posting in the GBF it's best to adopt a "when in Rome" philosophy, talk **** and get laughs because other than that you just get frustrated

 

I was reading some posts in the classic forum not too long ago and there's some good stuff in there. Maybe I'll just go back to the British forum and talk about Herbie Hide and Danny Williams. That always does the trick. Maybe get a thread going demanding a title shot for Erbie Ide!

 

Unforetunately you're mostly correct. I came to a similar conclusion late last year. The esb posters that have their panties in knots over the K bros are the worst on esb - at least w/regard to the HWs.

 

So I'm sure had this board been around in the late 80s there wouldn't be any hype around Mike Tyson... of course there are going to be a slew of posts about the KO bros and if you can't understand the hype then you have issues...just like this place was nuts in the early 2000's for Lennox trust me I know i was here

 

I agree...i've always thought Sam Peter was a very limited fighter and I could never figure out why so many fight fans jumped on the Sam Peter bandwagon. My last post was a reference to these group of fans.

We now can see why Peter's camp was crying about Vitali receiving the Champion Emeritus title...they were just upset they had to fight a real Champion. They knew, the Klitschko's knew it, the Klitschko fans knew it...the only ones that were clueless were the Sam Peter fans!!

 

I'm not sure why you say I have issues - whatever. I don't think there's much near unanimous hype for the K bros. Many posters refuse to give them any credit. When they win they say the fighter they beat was never any good even if they were hyping that fighter. Or they just say that the entire HW division is poor. It's those posters that have issues. That was my point. I've been around since about '04 and joined in '07.

So there was lots of hype for LL in the early 2000's. Well he's one of the best HWs ever. He deserved some "hype". Then again what are your issues with LL or K bros?

 

It was "Vitali" who made Peter look so bad. Vitali did a fantastic job. Vitali is always underrated. Vitali was the underdog when he knocked Herbie Hide out in London for the WBO title. I have seen all his fights and ever have them on video. You should see Vitali as a kickboxer! He is awesome, boxing or kickboxing, he is awesome.
