because they use it to brag about floyd, back when Floyd beat Hoya the first thing i said was that he should fight Mosley next and the first reply i got was about floyds ppv numbers and how much he makes and that mosley cant bring ****. it seems like those guys care more about floyds bank account than interesting fights.
i think the fight will do around half million buys. if pac vs jmm II did 400k three weights below, then this fight should do better. if it does less then you have to assume it is floyd bringing the sales down. this is the first fight in about 5 years that we will actually see what kind of #s floyd can pull. for hoya and hatton most of their fans felt their fighter stood a great chance of beating floyd so they bought the fight to watch it happen. jmm is really not suppose to win this one and it is more of a glorified sparring session in preparation for bigger fights. if this fight sells big then floyd should get the credit and if it tanks then floyd should get the blame. i am interested in this fight because i am a fan of jmm and would like to see him play spoiler to the floyd robbery. if floyd should lose to the small man then every point floyd makes as a reason for his greatness will become instantly mute. half of his fans would instantly dissapear and the rest would finally put his wins in perspective like the rest of the world. i dont hate floyd, hes not important enough in my life for me to invest such strong emotion. he annoys me like a child who screams for no reason or a guy who chews with his mouth open. i will however, give him full credit and respect if he comes back and faces the toughest challenges. win or lose.
I dont have to use those numbers for anything, it doesn't matter to me, i dont care how much mosley, floyd, cotto, pac make. but i get what your trying to get at and BTW i didn't direct any of this at you.
Wlad vs Haye Sold 60K tickets in days. How can you call yourself the cash cow of Boxing when you flat out arent>?
Great point. the fraud groupies eat the **** he says like its candy,he said he made 300 million while he was retired and this was during a recession and the groupies believed him.atsch
Fair enough but what you cant deny is the amount of people waiting in line the second tickets went on sale and the sheer amount they sold within the first few hours.Didnt they do like 30K in sales on the first day which made scramble to print up more tickets? But one would think that Mr.Boxing himself would garner a bit more interest.
BE fair. Anytime there is a really interesting Heavyweight fight (especially the way Haye has been talking ****) the interest is gonna trump the WW every time. That's just how boxing is, with very few exceptions.
