Tyson & Foreman is a 50-50 fight imo. I've always gone back and forth about who would win, but I see both men have solid advantages and disadvantages over the other that you can make a case for either of them winning.

Not only do I think Prime Foreman beats Prime Tyson, I think Comeback Foreman beats Prime Tyson too.

Comeback George is tougher for me to agree to, but oh yeah Mike would've been screwed against young George.

I don't see Mike beating prime Foreman ... He would have pushed and shoved Tyson into position and pounded him with uppercuts

Only if Tyson wae able to side step Foreman but that's easier said than done

Mike Tyson had immense strength and power but even Trevor Berbick was able to push him away ... There's no reason to believe Foreman wouldn't be able to do that

Ali would beat Tyson psychology ... And everyone knows if your isn't right you won't do well at any task

I just think to beat him Mike would have to fight in a way we never saw him fight. If he swarms George he's gonna get KTFO.

He would have to side step and really work the body against Foreman

    But it probably won't work

Even in Tyson's prime he was susceptible to uppercuts ... Foreman was very familiar with that punch

Tyson really can only fight one way due to his physical attributes ... He can't really make a major stylistic adjustment at heavyweight ... It's not like he can start boxing Foreman from the outside

Tyson is much quicker handed. Throws better, tighter, combinations, better defensively, better balance. Power is marginal in a fight like this, its the guy who lands cleaner, more consistently that wins. Tyson was used to fighting taller guys. George never saw anything like Tyson. Not even close.

Mmmm... I'm not sure it belongs here, but the ideas of 'prime' and 'not prime' gets overused, stretched, contorted and abused lot.

It's like the get out of jail free card in boxing discussions.

Bob McAdoo is the true GOAT. LeBron James sit down while the Doo do what you do but do it much better. Michael Jordan go fukk yourself.

Tyson fought some tall guys, but when did Tyson ever encounter a beast like George Foreman is an equally good question.

It can certainly be used with an agenda can't it and quite often is lol

Each little case tho must be looked at closely as it can be mildly tricky at times.

I would have said that Foreman being a very difficult matchup for Tyson and in turn Tyson being difficult for Ali was a popular opinion but I guess I should have posted it in the unpopular opinion thread ;)
