Good fight. Rachman started out strong using lots of effective lateral movement. Pornsawan was chasing him but catching him with little. The champion did well countering the Thai and landed quite a bit of good punches to Pornsawan's midsection. He even hurt him a bit at the end of the 4th round. However, the challenger took over from there on and increased the pressure he put on Rachman. He upped his workrate and won rounds 5 to 8. This is where my stream got increasingly worse, though, and it was tough to score. I thought Rachman might have taken the ninth round, as he was cheered on by the Indonesian crowd and found a bit of a second wind. Pornsawan didn't let up one bit, though, and was especially brutal to the body at that point of the fight, which really featured a lot of action. The camera cut a lot to what I think was Rachman's mother and his wife, who both looked increasingly worried. Close 10th round, as Rachman found back to his jab, with which he had some success. Might actually have gone to Rachman, too, which meant he would have been 2 rounds up going into the 11th... Both fighters looked tired now and their punches had lost their snap. I gave the 11th round, which was close again, to Pornsawan. Rachman had success countering Pornsawan in the 12th and kept him at bay for most of the final round. They both flurried for the final seconds and celebrated themselves as the winner after the final bell. I had it 115-113 for the defending champion in the end, although that scoring is far from reliable due to the quality of the stream from round 6 on. The judges gave it to Pornsawan with scores of 114-114, 115-114 and 115-114, which was fine, I suppose. Good quality fight with a few turnings of the tides, and in the end it could have gone to either man.
