To be fair, Dago's grandfather supposedly used to spar with Joe Louis. Obviously this make Dago elite in the backyard sparring community.

Why do you assume that people waste money on speed bags?

Speed bags are great tools, especially for guys that are already conditioned, and just using them to hone their skills.

A skilled speed bag operator will approach the bag like an opponent. It's best when the speed bag is on a mobile platform, in which the height can be adjusted.

In addition to throwing different punches at the speed bag and working on your stance, you can also work on your defense by using your back hand.

What do you have against a speed bag?

 

Virus clearly doesn't know **** about boxing, if he doesn't understand the merit of using a speed bag.

I like the speed bag. It's a tool that sharpens your form and keeps your hands up. It prepares your reflexes and is especially effective when you're fighting a southpaw.

 

They're useless as I stated.

What skills? The only skill you'll develop is hitting a speed bag. Wow. Useful.

The punches you throw when using a speed bag are nowhere near the same form as throwing an actual punch, it's a completely different movement pattern.

Unless you think you can improve your punching just by moving your arms any which way, what you're saying is bull****.

Hitting a speed bag will make you good at hitting a speed bag, that's it. What a great, useless skill to have.
