PORTER vs BROOK 50/50?

    I know we sometimes we generally over hype our fighters when they step up to the world scene... but I generally think porter could be the sort of style that would suit brook..

    One of Kell's biggest Assets is his timing.. with Porter lunging in like he did against Malinaggi I think brook could counter that well with his footwork/timing?

    The only thing that makes me think its not a good style match up would be porter roughing him up, we see what jones did in the first fight up close and feel if porter drags him on the inside hell come out on top...

    What we thinking?

    I think porter is a stylistic nightmare for brook, he wouldn't allow kell any time to think and would pressure him into a mid-late stoppage. Carson jones had alot of success against kell with a similar style and he is nowhere near porters level.

    I hope the bookies have it 50/50

    This is not a good fight for Brook

    But hes a 'lion' right, according to himself

    I think with jones it may have possibly been a fitness issue more than anything, having dealt with that type of fighter may also be very beneficial when facing porter as well.

    Porter is probably a nightmare for anyone, never mind Brook. Reminds me of a 1980s light heavy called Denis Andries. Crude? Yes. Crudely effective? Deffo!
    Brook has to finally get some credit if he wins this one.

    more like 60/40 in favour of Porter...

    Porter is easily the favorite where as Brook is an unknown..

    No one knows how good Brook is yet, I hope this fight really does happen. I can't wait to see how Brook gets on. My money will be on Porter.

    60/40 Porter for me.

    His pressure could well be the difference in this fight but (cannot believe I'm saying this considering how hyped Kell has been until now) I think we are beginning to actually underrate Kell's ability to time his shots, could work for him.

    I think original post makes a fairly good point.

    Still fancy Porter though.

    Being fair to Kell, Carson didn't have much success early on and took alot of punishment which would have had most out of there. Kell wained a bit which let Jones back in, citing conditioning as an issue.

    This has apprantly now been address but has yet to be proven.

    We don't know how good Porters chin is. But he would be foolish to adopt Carson's approach to the fight. Am sure Porter has got alot more in his locker then what he showed against Paulie.

    Looking forward to this one. I do see this as being 50/50

    Porter is nothing special. I think Brook should be a slight favourite for this, he has more skill and more power. I don't think Porter has anything that Brook can't deal with.

    Neither is Brook. Porter is what he is, but he's good at what he does and it's a bad style match up for Brook.

    Brook hits hard and porter wont walk through him like he did with alexander and paulie. Porters recent wins vs alexander and paulie are better than brooks wins but neither could punch. Hard fight for both and i think it will be a war of attrition that will test them both

    70-30 Porter. Brook just might take a few more 'warm up' fights.
