i only seen 2 brook fights. if kell is a boxer puncher then he will be ok. to me it depends on how well he can take a punch.

so porter is nothing special but brook is? based on what? his fights with tomato cans?

at least porter took apart devon and has him wobbling and destroyed paulie... what has Brook done? taken out Senchenko who Paulie made quit and who was getting owned by a past it ricky hatton? Also not to forget he went life and death with carson jones who no one ever knew until he fought him.

that was probably the plan from their team... brook is a big welterweight and he struggles to make weight.. allowing him to waste energy early on and taking him into the late rounds was a perfect plan

what makes this such a good fight is.. we literally have no idea how good either could/can be..

Drawing with Diaz, not many people would have had porter to dominate devon alexander and knock paulie out...

And after the carson jones scare, not many people will have Brook as a top welterweight...

    50/50 for me...

If Brook's power is good enough to prevent Porter smothering him, I think we've got a hellava fight on our hands..

if he lets porter get up close, i think hell rough him up and potentially stop brook late..

probably the best logical post in this thread... still don't agree with 50/50 because of the fact that porter has already stepped it up ... not to mention Brook will have to fight on US soil so it's not something he is used to hence i make Porter a slight favorite at 60/40 but the rest of the post makes sense..

60/40 Porter for me looks like being away from home in the USA first title shot will make it harder.

Brook has skills but lacks head movement against Porter's swarming style and high tempo is the reason I favour Porter.Hard but not impossible.

    er no!

watch the fight again and tell me you honestly believe that. For six rounds Carson Jones was getting battered and not because that was the gameplan.

If Brook was at home it would be a 50/50 but in the States it swings quite decisively to Porter IMO a 65/35 kind of fight. Porter is a Haymon fighter they will want to make the big fight with Thurman, i'm sure they see Kell as an annoyance in their plans, mark my words if round are close Porter will be the one getting them. Kell has to win clearly and decisively IMO either by Stoppage or make the rounds clearly his in order for him to get the W, It's a big step up first time at real word level for Kell, away from home against a fighter with big backing let's be fair the cards are stacked against Kell for this and you'd have to favor Porter strongly. Best of luck to Brook tough ask for him.

    I'm unsure about Porter
Because I so him twice before he became world champ and looked ****, then I saw the Malignaggi fight and he looked impressive, punching much harder than his record suggests. So has he just improved a lot or is he inconsistent or what?

Hmm.....I think Kell has to fight closer to his perfect 'A-game' than Porter to win this. His chin is a bit weak (sorry Kell!) for the elite, just can see Porter getting through and wobbling Kell though not in the same fashion as with Magic Man.

The best bet? Probably the under if it's over 7.5/8.5.

    Bombs awaaaaaayyyyyy!

He has fought only tomato cans though so not that great of an achievement that he hasn't been down, we all saw Senchenko wobble him, saw him hurt against Carson Jones wouldn't say his chin is glass but he can certainly be hurt and stopped if Porter gets to him

Khan got Knocked down by Rachid Drilzane, Willie Limond, Craig Watson,Michael Gomez and Knocked out in 50 seconds by Breidis Prescott before he fought for a world title ( all 'tomato cans')
Don't know how good his chin is yet what I'm saying is one thing is for sure.. he certainly has a better chin than Khan:deal
