Calling it now. I see a lot of clinching caused by Porter's dirty lunge in first style. Thurman by messy UD, or KO.
Porter's style is what will make this fight, either he'll understand he is so much slower than Thurman and getting pot shotted that he'll try to muscle him around making it an ugly wrestling match, or he'll try to box with Thurman and get dominated. Making it ugly is in his best interest.
porter is actually faster than thurman and much stronger. Poeter by knockout marks my mothafukking words.
Shawn Porter isn't faster than Keith Thurman, nor is his footwork or variety of punches better. He is stronger I agree.
Thurman gonna get Porter out of there early. Both can be "shook" which makes this fight intriguing for me... but Keif' got that ability to move if he wants to that will be the difference & catch Shawn jumping in.
C'mon ellerbe don't jinx it..... I do agree that Shawn is best served by trying to maul him, so yeah could be ugly. Hope not!
You're spot on, Porter is far faster than most people credit him for, he cuts the distance exceptionally well, and literally never allows his opponents to breathe. People don't give him nearly as much credit as he deserves for the Broner win either, because in spite of being the guy dropped and not being able to drop Broner twice like Maidana, he still managed to beat Broner more decisively than Chino, Broner won exactly one second of that match and that was the second of the KD, and that's it, Broner I gave around 4 or 5 rounds against Maidana. I didn't even give Broner the round he dropped Porter in, Shawn won every second of the rest of it. The only reason Porter doesn't get the love he deserves from American fans is because if they give him credit, then they'll have to acknowledge Brook win over him and we don't want to do that because we don't want to swallow our collective pride and admit Brook is one of the best WW's period and would probably clean out the division if given the chance. Thurman is too fragile and Porter's roughhousing will be too much for him, he gets KO'd in 6 or under.
The Ghost was having his way with Thurman, roughing him up in the later rounds. Porter will mess him up. Although I do agree that he's hard to watch. I kind of hope they both lose somehow.
