So they are basically saying Thurman = high risk and low reward fight :think

Probably they want Broner or Khan for Porter.

    Honestly yes.

Its like when Hearns and Leonard were supposed to meet earlier in their career. Angelo dundee was furious that his promotors even considered matching them so early and called the fight off. He later told ray that they will fight when ray is ready and when they do they will make a much bigger paycheck. In boxing it's just as much about who you are being matched up with which can determine the success later on in your career. Good match makers understand this. In time the fight will come, hell maybe in late late 2014.
But for now let them fight on some under cards and build their names....Then make them fight for the absolute #1 Contender to fight floyd. That is how you make that fight big.

he'll earn a lot of money from Hearn by fighting Brook.

he'll earn even more if he agrees to fight in the UK.

though i do find it interesting that he thinks he's a bigger sell for the boxing audience than Thurman. i strongly disagree. Thurman is actually making some genuine noise. Porter, not so much. even after his win over Alexander.

Really disappointing to see guys with no monetary value making those statements. A guy like Thurman fights another up and coming beast, and you have Porter who has had somewhat of an easier route already ducking people.

In fairness I don't blame Porter... Thurman is a killer.
Mallinaggi will give him a good paycheck & a main event title defense in Brooklyn.

Keith Thurman is the most ducked welterweight, personally I can't wait for him to get his well earned shot.
