position problem..

    Hi,my problem is :

    I trained ice hockey 10 years.. and now i'm starting training boxing. My GENERAL problem is.. When i stay. Ice hockey players have position with bent knees, low, bent down. u know what i mean.

    My trainer say me that it's bad,that boxing position is other. I dont know what i should do to have a position u know what i mean. I need a help so much:( please help me..

    Just concentrate on keeping your knew bent just enough to be light on your feet and keep you back straighter but not rigid. You'll get it.

    It's just something that your going to practice really hard for, once your train something like that hockey position in your head for 10 years its guna stick really really hard.
    Don't give up and just listen to what your coach tells you.

    That and if he thought you could fight effectively out of that position he would help you make it more effective, so i guess he doesnt.
