Pavlik has too many demons hes a spent fighter.... his best days are long gone ! Used to be a fan but he wasted what could have been a glittering career at MW... another guy who will one day look back and ask what could have been ?

not only is the long layoff a concern but its my understanding that garcia wasnt expecting kelly to come to oxnard at 175. when that happened, 160 seemed like a legit possibility. garcia mentioned that kelly's first fight would be at 168 possibly on their way down to 160. so while kelly needs rounds, i think its also a way to determine if he can go lower so the fact that its a can opponent is no surprise.

Typical confidence rebuilding, tomato can opponent by the looks.

I don't have a problem with it; Kelly will be trying to work on what Garcia's trying to implement on his game in a "live" exercise so to speak.

I'd expect to see a couple of these type of opponents as he molds his game; I just hope they have him fighting regularly while doing this - every 2/3 months or so as time is of the essence with Kelly.

    Good luck to him.

Nah, dude - I knew what you meant. I was laughing at Scott's "boxing". :rofl

Throwing those wide looping shots, begging to be drilled with a two piece. "Here I am, Kelly! Straight down the middle, you can't miss!! Please render me unconscious!! Then I can dream of being my idol:

I did underestimate Lopez heading in (or rather, overestimated what Pavlik's form and sharpness would be like) - but it's clear that Alfonso has more tricks up his sleeve and more ways to spoil Kelly's boxing than this goon.

Kelly could be half in the bag and he still beats this guy. *Correction*... He could be entirely in the bag and still beats this guy.
And Kelly quitting on the stool... never happening! Fact!

I wish Booradley was here to hype up this fight and make us believe Sigmon is one of the bests SMW out there. :-(
