I'm really looking forward to fight weekend, genuinely excited. Long over due, some even think too late in the day, but i'll take Hopkins and Jones any day, even if it was 5 years from now. It's a breathe of fresh air, especially after the Mayweather & Pacquiao fiasco, that saga became tiresome. This fight is for the ages and for the purist, i think these guys have enough left in them for one last treat. People say this fight is meaningless, won't prove anything. Neither fighter is looking to prove anything, other than settling a score. I'm fine with that, if one guy is telling you he's waited over a decade for revenge and that guy is Hopkins, I'm watching. I'm disappointed by the lack of interest, I cannot think of many active fighters out there, more skilled than these two. Appreciate people. Hopefully there will be an execution.

did this idiot watch jones' last few fights? jones is beyond shot, he should have been put in a nursing home 5 years ago.
While I agree that these two make an interesting spectacle, it looks like a mismatch on paper. While RJJ is basically fighting for pride, Hopkins could fight for another 5 years.
I understand another potential fight of the year canidate is in the works. Dempsey- Firpo ll has been announced. The corpses of both will be dug up and propped against each other around June in a location yet to be determined. Scheduled for 12 rounds, this has been a long awaited rematch.
Jones fights against Lacy and Sheika were awesome! The dude still had speed and power. Remember, he knocked BOTH of them out. The Green fight was not long enough to see if he was shot. His speed was there but got caught with a good punch. Nothing bad about that. This fight is still good enough to watch. Too bad I don't have cable and will be in a plane during the fight.
