    Yes I have followed Mundine's career and am fully aware of his capability to draw big in Australia and offer decent money to potential opponents. I certainly will not sit here and blame Mundine's inability to secure a meaningful fight in his career on people ducking him. Part of the blame is definitely on Mundine and his management.

    I also understand that a large number of Australian's (and Brits who are aware of him, I suppose) hate him.

    However, outside of fringe contenders that are willing to travel to Australia to earn their biggest paydays, Mundine has little to offer the top contenders/champions who would rather fight in their hometowns in the US or Europe against more well-known opponents for more money and less risk.

    Take into account the following: Mundine's not a name outside of Australia. Outside of Australia, Mundine does not bring money or publicity to an opponent/fight. Maybe not now, but in his prime, Mundine was a very risky opponent for most of the top dogs at 160-168.

    These "interim" WBA titles are such a load of crap. How anyone can take these paper titles seriously is beyond me.

    I don't blame the fighters, just the ridiculous money making governing bodies that allow these BS titles to continue.

    Same can be said about a lot of other world champions, but I agree, Mundine has never been a legit world champion. There are so many bogus titles these days, the term world champ is really just a term to use as bargaining power.

    I hear you, I get you. Can you remind me again of his prime, though?

    :lol::good

    Probably mid-2005-2007-ish. Particularly, the Green and Soliman 2 fights, which followed the experience he gained in the Kessler fight (which was a decent performance despite the loss).

    Hasn't looked as good as he did against Green or Soliman 2, though - and his recent opponents haven't been as good as those two either.

    Remember, the Soliman he ****ed up beyond oblivion is the same Soliman that was coming off a very close loss to Winky, who himself was coming off two wins over Mosely and a domination over Trinidad.

    Mundine's demolition of Soliman in their 2nd fight is under-rated, imo.
