Hot card - Grange Old School really bringing a quality card and venue (Grand Harbour Ballroom at Star City Casino) to the fore. :good

Billy Dib is really kicking goals these days being a middle of the road undercard fight in Australia.

What happened to GBP and better fights in US?

As oppossed to bagging him, you might take into account that getting on these shows are integral to positioning for future opportunities.

GBP and Billy still enjoy a great relationship and I can confirm we were put on notice recently to fight Daniel Ponce De Leon until dates and shows moved and subsequently clashed.

Billy is focused, training the house down and is a busy boy in the next bit with a fight next week on the Left Hook Promotions, followed by the above with Grange Old School next month and we are planning some top-quality bouts for mid-year right as we speak.

Billy's opportunities for the high-class bouts are there and being workd on. The best thing for Billy, let alone any fighter is to be busy and active and to be ready for when the opportunities finalise.

Thought i made a legitimate comment, in retrospect it may have been perceived as a bagging but certainly not may intention. I just wondered why a bloke who has fought for world titles in the states is now 3rd or 4th down the pecking order on an Australian card that's a decent one but not outstanding.

Thanks for your reply, i wish Billy all the best. He is still young so times on his side. :good

    How long ago was that?

Would that have been for the world title?

Points acknowledged and appreciate your opinion.

You do have to understand there is a respect level too that comes with fight cards.

Billy Dib vs. Davey Browne was the fight of the night on the Grange 'Bad Blood' PPV last year, (acknowledged by promoter as well) yet how can that be main event in front of Daniel Geale on a Grange Old School card?

That's not negative at Daniel or Grange, far from it actually. Grange were building Daniel towards his bout with Choc and at the time, he was still IBO middleweight champion, hence the respect is there that you slot in on the card where the promoter deems best suited.

Every fighter want's to be main event. Top performances and wins bring that over time. The patience wheel might turn slow for boxers (their all impatient!), however it does turn best.

As a team, we're really happy with these immediate opportunties over the next 6 weeks and we're our plans are heading.

    Fact Ash :deal

It was only in January we were offered/put on standby but the tv date kept moving, hence the show date and style kept moving.

Yes it was being mooted for an Interim title.

Direction in boxing changes 10 times a day, heaps of factors come into it, hence being fit, firing and ready should opportunities present themselves.

If your a big time champ, sure you control your destiny a great deal more, but the number of challengers far outweigh the number of champions so to speak!

I'm very excited about the potential of some of these cards being put together. Grange's card is strong. There's a card in Melbourne on Fox that's also got some cracking fights also. Top stuff for Aussie boxing! :good
