    He takes on Italian Guiseppe Lauri, his EBU mandatory in Belfast.

    I will be watching . I like McCloskey although i'm not yet convinced he's world level .

    mcloskey can fight, he will give people at world level trouble including khan depending on how much K has improved.

    this is a good little test for him though

    That's fair enough. He has still to fight a world level opponent. Don't get me wrong, I would consider McCloskey and real underdog against those top guys, but I would think he would give them a tough fight and would be a worthy opponent.

    I think he would have a real chance against Maidana. That would be a 50/50 fight imo.

    Should be a good ol scrap. Hopefully McCloskey impresses and doesn't become complacent, there is more spotlight on him now than there ever was.

    Whoa...what a KO.

    Thought McCloskey had looked pretty ordinary up until that point.

    Was Laurie complaining to the ref again when he got KO'd?

    He was definitely disappointing to be honest. He didn't box to his ability. KO was definitely legit, ref let them go and Lauri just didn't get back focused. If he gets dragged into a slug fest like that against Maidana he will get knocked out.

    What a knock out though, landed perfect, right on the sweet spot.
