Fighters who may be acceptable and available in September:

    Canelo
    Alexander
    Danny Garcia
    Matthysse/Peterson winner

    Wild cards:

    Khan/Brook in the UK
    Winner of Lopez Maidana
    Ortiz rematch

Floyd isnt showing much interest in fighting Canelo but who knows, maybe he'll fight him. Now would be the best time to take him out due to Canelos stamina issues and the fact that hes still growing physically/fight may not be available later on.

He's already shown interest in Alexander but i have no idea how that fight would even sell. Devon does have an interesting story/humble beginnings to tell.

Danny Garcia seems likely because he is the lineal champ at 140 and is always exciting to watch.

Matthysse Peterson winner, both are not as well know as Danny or Canelo but always provide excitement

Lopez has an impressive win over Ortiz and a nice story to tell. Maidana also has a win over Ortiz and gave Khan a great fight but hasnt done anything recently

Ortiz fight due to the way the first one ended however Ortiz is coming off a brutal loss

Makes sense fighting Canelo in May rather than September, he can fight Garcia in September whilst Canelo fights Cotto.

**** the Khan fight, he can fight Floyd next September providing he doesn't get whooped, which he most likely will.

If Floyd actually fights again in Sept I'll be shocked.

He hurt his hand during the fight. Don't think it'll be in September.

I'd rather him face Canelo, Alexander, Pacquiao, Garcia, then Thurman all in that order.

Canelo should be next if the information from Rafael and Iole is correct in terms of the Guerrero fight doing less than a million buys.

Hands of Iron has outlined a pattern/business model for Floyd in terms of tune-up then superfight so it makes sense from that standpoint as well. A Canelo fight later this year would be massive and would then enable Floyd to fight someone like Alexander/Khan next May and still be a profitable event.

He has since down played the hand and said he most def. is returning in September.

If he doesn't fight in Spet. it won't be because of the hand.

I like the idea of Canelo vs. Cotto and Floyd vs. Garcia and a Floyd vs. Canelo, assuming they both win in May of 2014.

Having those 4 fighters on the same card, would be an expensive card, but it can generate over 1.5+ million buys.

I think if Canelo had fought on the Mayweather undercard and called him out more people would be pushing for the fight. Also the PPV would have brought more interest and buyers.

I watched the fight on closed circuit in vegas, knowing mayweather is coming back to fight 5 more times is overall good for boxing. I just think that Showtime and Golden Boy should have set the Mayweather/Caenlo fight up noffically for sept by having him on the undercard.
