I would love to see judges have to answer for their scorecards (if perceived as controversial) up in the ring at the end of the broadcast with Kellerman or whoever.

Why doesn't this happen? You often see refs answering for controversial stoppages etc. in this manner, why not judges? Has this ever happened?

In this age when everything is on video and easily accessed by millions, I actually hold out some hope for judging accountability - what is indefensible is there for all to see. HBO and Showtime could really swing a mighty sword in this regard if they wanted to.

If Kellerman wants to shed accusations of nepotism and lack of a hard-journalism background, he could tackle it. Whatever the unwritten rules are about judge interviews - rewrite them and make it a demand of sanctioning bodies to have their belts defended on HBO.

They would never do that sort of thing. It would be impossible to, on the night of a fight, take to arms with every judge who was off, because where do you draw the line? "117-111 would be acceptable tonight, but 118-110 is clearly treacherous." There is inherent grey area in judging that would make it difficult to force someone to answer for themselves right then and there. That said, the bad judges should just never get another assignment.

    Agreed and agreed!

I have a feeling we're gonna see a little bit of a shift in the next coming years, with judges being held more and more accountable for their scorecards. Lately there have just been TOO MANY questionable scorecards in prominent fights.

And again, props to Kellerman for calling those judges out at the end of the broadcast on Saturday night.
