    Hello! Just a question/curiosity:

For a while now I had been having sparring matches with a friend of mine...about 6 so far but many months in between each. The first three went really well. Then the 4th one had to end early because he felt "pukey" and ended up throwing up. The 5th went fine as well and then the 6th one he ended up throwing up again (in a toilet of course). We've been trying to figure out why and I think it may be the type of food he is eating beforehand. The past three times we hungout, we went to Pizza Hut a couple hours beforehand and 2/3 times he threw up. Would greasy food like Pizza Hut really make you throw up like that or is it just having food in your system in general? Or could it have to do with time of day, like sparring too late at night (around 11pm-ish) and being tired from the day already having an effect?

    Thanks!

Getting hit can have that effect on people. I was talking to my dad who used to box, and someone at his gym used to throw up after every fight and get a headache. Not sure if it happened in sparring though.

yeah I was reading somewhere about where someone said that your body gets one of the most vigorous work out routines all around when boxing and since your body is doing so much else, the digestive system doesnt get so much attention so if you have a full stomach of acidic or greasy foods then you'll probably throw them back up. It was a good post, cant remember where I found it though lol.
