Post the things you saw Mosley get better under Brother Nazeem

When did Mosely give up BALCO? The scandal was years ago....so I don't think he is with the program anymore.

 

The revisionist historians will have you believe that Margarito was easy for Shane so they discredit his victory. Let's all remember what we thought of Margarito beforehand, (1) The best welterweight in the world, (2) Unbreakable chin.

 

It was a great, great victory for Shane, I don't know if it was because he was the underdog against Tony but he fought with a greater fire than he did against Cotto. I thought he was real tense in the ring versus Cotto.

I thought he was better at calling out guys under Nazim though :rofl

 

It has been reported on several occasions that Margarito was in terrible shape leading up to the fight. He had to drain and he was routinely getting spanked by his sparring partners. Add to this the fact that his career and reputation were both shot to **** minutes before he stepped into the ring to fight a highly motivated Shane Mosley. The fight is easily discredited.

 

Elite fighters who were troubled by a cheater. W/o the advantage hes the definition of average and mediocre.

 

Yeah, Mosley always had a better jab somewhere in his bag that he didn't have the temperament to work with much. It was coming out a bit with Margo. It's a shame he hasn't relied on it more, because when he doesn't just flick it, it's a fine weapon in his arsenal.

Mosley is ELITE. And ELITE fighters do not lose to Margarito, especially one that is not cheating. What was impressive about the bout wasnt that Mosley won, it was his dominance.

 

Post some of these pre-fight reports.

Margo was slow, throwing arm punches, has virtually no defense, and practically no skill to speak of in the Mosley bout. Oh wait...hes ALWAYS been that way.

 

His footwork was alot better. He was using short steps instead of bouncing. His timing was alot better. The number one thing i saw that nazim brings to the table was his strategy. Mosley was fighting with a plan to use short steps to get in, punch, and either hold or get outside margaritos range. Started with softening him up and then he started using fast combos that set up harder shot. He followed nazims advice to a T. They work well as a team.

I honestly dont think mayweather wants any part of mosley with brother nazim and hopkins team. If he wouldnt fight pac, he sure as hell aint fighting mosley for less money more risk.

W brother nazim & the hopkins team ill take mosley over mayweather. W/out brother nazim & the hopkins team ill take money may to the bank.

 

That's exactly why a fighter like Margarito who relies mostly on his physical attributes would be more affected by something like a less than ideal training camp than someone who has technical skills to fall back on.

I'm not exactly familiar with these reports of Tony having such a training camp for the Mosley fight, but one has to consider it along with the illegal handwrap incident just before they got in the ring.

But it was a great victory for Shane, no disclaimers. I thought he utterly destroyed Margarito's vaunted chin.

 

Dude, it wasnt the same mosley. Mosley was fighting margarito with a plan he and brother nazim worked all camp with and he executed it to a T. The old mosley had forgotten alot about using fast combos to set up his hard shots. He rarely used short steps and wasted energy bouncing around.

If he had brother nazim he woulda knocked cotto out!
