Pretty much. And Spinks was at his best too, Tyson was just that damn good in the 80's and nobody could stand a chance.

 

I don't have an obsession with any human being that walks this planet. I just call it how it see and from the research. And Tyson in the 80's was a much, much different Tyson than Tyson that you guys bring up in hypothetical matches all the time.

Now as for the thread Title, what was Mike most impressive performance from 85-88, that was question, you haven't answered the question.

 

2 different types of boxers. Biggs was more athletic but Pinky had a more authorative jab and he was more durable.

 

And young Biggs beat Lennox Lewis for the gold. People write that off like nothing. People also need to realize after Tyson Beat Biggs, like he did 5 other heavyweights in his title run, they were never the same again and he retired fighters.

Biggs had lots of talent and it showed when he got more experience in the pros. He already had lots of experience from his amateur days, so that's why it may appear that they rushed him to some people going into the Tyson fight.
