1. AJ 2-6, Wilder, Ortiz, Povetkin, Parker, Pulev, in any order. 7. Miller 8. Whyte 9. Brazaele 10. Wach With Wlad gone, and Fury too far gone to count as active, there is a huge gap between AJ and the next 5, who are all clustered together imo. Then another big gap between them and the next bunch. Honesty, with the possible exception of Miller, any of the bottom four could be just as easily swapped out with some of the other top 20ish type hws.
heres mine. 1:Aj 2rtiz 3ovetkin 4arker 5:wilder/pulev 6ulev/wilder 7:whyte 8:brazaele 9:kuzmin 10:hughie fury.
you must have insomnia its 5am lists are always subjective never sure how to rank fighters and what criteria i should use makes a guge difference to every list some lists i see are made solely on jingoistic bias criteria you rank fighters head 2 head /or on what if they reached there potential /or on just resume your list is as good as any i would have ugonuh in there on ability and what if also david haye on abilty as well povetkin high on resume but he is a proven cheat / he was a soft dough boy and now chiseled make him suspect of still cheating but on pure boxing terms he is up there. ortiz has a great skillset but all cuban heavys i have ever seen lack the will to put everything on the line to try to win hard fights they all prefer to coast is ortiz the exception histotu will tell andy ruiz despite looking like a slob would beat someone like whyte i suspect deontay has the stellar record and has ability and speed but his opposition choice is **** poor /safe and soft and because of this he has gone backwards as a champ and not improved as he has the abilty to do i like parker but he has struggled v opposition he needs to beat much easier to have a long career at the top. miller is strong but way to limited and slow.
Yeah, even though I like Wilder more than AJ, his win over Wlad does put him above Wilder. I wish they'd just fight.
C - Vacant 1 - Joshua 2 - Ortiz 3 - Povetkin 4 - Wilder 5 - Parker 6 - Pulev 7-10 is tricky and even more subjective than 1-6. None of the fringe contenders have faced each other yet and there's very little separating them on their respective resumes. They all seem to have adopted the "Let's go Champ" strategy of bullshitting your way to a title shot via social media. You could make a decent case for any of Miller, Whyte, Browne, H. Fury, Breazeale, Ruiz, Wach or even Haye if he can stay fit for just 12 months. Gun to my head I'd probably say; 7 - Browne 8 - Whyte 9 - Breazeale 10 - Miller
If Wilder and Ortiz fought, the winner would have a plausible argument that they are on AJs level. That's what I want. No premature fights, I don't want Wilder or Ortiz to face AJ yet. I want to see them fight each other, and then a megaunification between two guys(AJ and Ortiz/Wilder winner) who will become undisputable atgs upon winning. Sadly, I doubt that will happen.
Because it won't crown a new lineal champion IMO. Joshua is the leading contender for beating Wlad but contenders 2-5 (Ortiz, Wilder, Pov and Parker) are completely up in the air. I want Wilder to beat one of those guys to consolidate his claim as one of the two best HWs in the world so when Joshua and Wilder do meet, we'll actually start a new lineage.
Do you actually give a **** about lineal champions? I just want to see the best fight the best. To me AJ and Wilder are the 2 best. SO LET'S GET IT ON BABY.
It would hype it up for the hard core, and that would bleed over to the casuals to some extent. Wouldn't you rather see the two clear best of the division fight rather than by far the most proven vs a distant second(third or fourth)? Wouldnt you rather see Ortiz Wilder first, whet your appetite for a bigger fight?
Bro honestly I just want AJ and Wilder to fight. I'm sick of all this building bull****. Wilder wants it, let's get it on now.
You said it. Don't understand the rush to fight Wilder etc, I want to see a megafight. If handled right, it could be a Lewis Holyfield type fight, instead of a Lewis Grant
I do give a ****. Lineage adds to a fighters legacy. We all want to see the best fight the best, but you'd be foolish to omit Ortiz from such an inclusion.
