Didn't see Stiverne last fight I will admit. I was basing ranking him in my top ten off what I have seen from him against Wilder and Arreloa. Head to head I'd still favor Stiverne over a lot of the division. Haye's bad loss to Bellew is why hes no longer in my top ten that was a really bad loss to a cruiserweight and he'll have to comeback with a good win to prove hes still a top heavy.
#1 Joshua #2 Povetkin #3 Ortiz #4 Wilder #5 Parker #6 Pulev #7 Takam #8 H. Fury #9 Whyte #10 Chisora With Miller, Kownacki, Ruiz Jr., Browne, Wach, Breazeale and a couple of others floating just outside the top 10.
He has been given a road map to that fight if he wanted it so badly he would be fighting Whyte now.. Browne went to Chechnya and KO'd a guy who Wlad and Povetkin couldn't, plus the fact he went through a war to do it. If anything people here undersell him because of the fact he looks crude he has Wilder++ power and I don't think there is a chin around that would have any hope if it was hit flush. A boxing technician like Chagaev couldn't stop Browne landing who in the top 10 could?? ..
What the hell are you talking about? Wlad stopped a much fresher Chagaev quicker than Browne did... and he didn't get dropped on his ass and need a rally to pick up the win. Chagaev was washed up, fat, unmotivated.. and still almost beat Browne.
If you actually read what I responded to (Browne being a joke pretty much) I was pointing out that he managed a pretty good performance in a very hostile location with some pretty obvious cheating and Ko'd a guy Vlad and Povetkin couldn't. Chagaev retired on his stool in the fight v Wlad. He was older yes and about 10kgs fatter but if anything that weight would have made his chin stronger. Chagaev was still an excellent boxer of which most guys outside the top 5 would struggle to out box.. .. Based on this effort alone I would rank him in the current top 10..
This is exactly why I have him at #7. The top 6 (Joshua to Pulev) is very widely agreed upon here but of all the other outside contenders (Haye, Whyte, Breazeale, Miller, Ruiz, Hughie etc), Browne's recent-ish wins over Chagaev and an unbeaten Rudenko are better than anything the other guys have on their resume as of yet. Putting Browne at 7 was probably easier than choosing who goes at 8, 9 and 10 in all honesty.
