:good To be fair I don't mind the nostalgia nuts. That's cool as it's well intentioned. All this 'chin checker' business does my head in though as if professional fighters knocking each other down makes people 'glass jawed frauds/ hype jobs' etc.
This one learns quick. I still to threads that interest me (and there are a lot) and stay away from mostly anything degrading fighters or Mayweather/Pac threads, lol.
lennox lewis ducked ruiz and byrd the klitschkos are overrated so was hatton and tszyu the klits ducked ruiz pac is not great. good...but not great. floyd strategically avoids the best competition p4p is about as useful as tits on a bull and should be reserved for the end of a fighters career. contrary to popular belief...hbo is not the best for boxing.
Now I respect my opponent. I think he's a good man but, quite frankly, I agree with everything he just said!
:think You a Ruiz fan by any chance? IMO Pacquaio's lower weight career made him great. P4P is a hotly debated concept, especially amongst purists. I'd point out that Boxing discussion survives via change and subjectivity, so P4P is a good thing in that regard. As for HBO, you'd argue a return to main stream TV for Boxing instead?
Mayweather loses some rounds to Khan. The Klitschkos beat Ali, Tyson, Marciano, Joe Louis... Haye looked terrible against Valuev. Mike Perez beats most heavyweights. John Duddy could have won a world title. Ricky Burns is one of the best technical boxers right now.
Bradley would get destroyed by Ortiz, and would get outboxed by Khan when he moves up to 147. He also loses clearly to Pacquiao (this time officially) in the rematch. His #1 ranking at Welterweight is a farce. Canelo Alvarez will beat Mayweather decisively if they fight in late 2013 or early 2014. Mayweather doesn't look comfortable at 154, and doesn't have the speed, reflexes, or movement that he did at the lower weight classes. This slower, more stationary Mayweather is going to get overpowered by Alvarez. Mayweather no longer has the legs to move and outbox him, and his punches lack the snap at 154 to get Alvarez' respect. Broner is going to get smashed when he steps up and fights a real high-caliber opponent. Someone like Gamboa would wreck him. He'd also be better served trying to fight in his natural style (whatever that is) rather than continue to try and copy Floyd obsessively. Khan would decisively beat and maybe even stop a clean PEDerson in a rematch under neutral conditions.
