    I have to live with the pictures of Liston knocking out Patterson and you have to live with pictures like that. :(

    But the difference being there are a billion pictures of Ali knocking out or beating up Sonny. Just you see when it's Muhammad's turn...

    It was a frustrating exercise sifting through all the Liston images with Ali standing over him. Bloody Ali. :twisted:

    Aren´t there any Holmes-Ali pictures? And there are quite a few pictures of Frazier knocking down Ali. Those are great. :good

    My point is, is that it almost seems that there is this perception that Liston's existence was defined by fighting and losing to Ali. Obviously it wasn't, but it just seems that way after going through all the internet pictures of Sonny.

    Yes. Ali has rendered Liston almost a non-entity...in the General forum, whenever Liston is put into a tough fantasy match a swathe of posters will pick Sonny to "quit on his stool". They've only seen Liston twice, and one of those times that's exactly what he did, so I suppose you can't blame them.
