Here's mine: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03YNBkuotiE[/ame] How does this chubby genius manage to be so agile and athletic?! This sub is supreme because it comes when Coleman (and the audience) think there is no danger, and it's super-fast and executed perfectly. And that's why he is the greatest fighting machine in history IMO. PS: A question for all you guys who know more about MMA than myself - is Fedor a jiu-jitsu practitioner, or are submissions part of 'Sambo'?
That armbar happened because for just one second Coleman got lazy with his arm positioning and planted his hand straight down beside Fedor's head. A split second after that arm straigtened out you could see Fedor swinging around into position.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6D-_jAIvqs[/ame] I think you mean Silva-Chonan. How do you embed video? *edit* Lol, I guess I did.
Coolest sub of all times with the coolest name. Flying scissor heel hook. And Chonan was getting his ass beat up from pillar to post.
Subs are a part of Sambo, Ive did both Sambo & BJJ, they are similar.... Sambo focus a lot on leglocks & armlocks, tho you are taught most submissions at some stage, they use strength & force at times as well as technique....... BJJ use a wider variety of subs on a more regular basis & teach to rely purely on technique, they dont discourage from using force but only when you have the technique`s nailed down correctly, they focus on body weight & leverage as opposed to strength. Both arts are great for cage fighting tbh, they prepare you extremely well, both of them. Ps. I too loved the way Fedor beat Coleman, excellent technique.... some of Nogueira`s subs have been outstanding too, the triangle armlock he beat Coleman with as well as the triangle he beat Goodridge with were masterful.... Sakuraba`s kneebar on Newton & his armlocks on Vernon White & Randlemann were beautiful too.... I loved Penn`s rare naked chokes on Pulver, & Florian amongst others, there are so many tbh.
I honestly think you are a better MMA poster than you are a boxing poster! Great input as always on here :happy
