I know people don't like CJR, but I didn't know they don't like him this much.

 

got it. well i feel that way about robert garcia. his fighters are ok but he comes off as a dick at times although i don't like margarito and rios. same goes for freddy roach. he's even more phoney with his, "i treat everybody with respect and that's why i get respect." bobblehead fred has gotten full of himself.

 

just don't like how the rules are made and changed in his favor simply because he use to live inside the balls of julio ceasar chavez.

I dont get the hope for a boxer to get ktfo because of his fans stuff,they would onlly be quiet and jump on the next bandwagon.

I once thought about why his father doesn't force his son to have a real career. I mean if you were a legendary ATG boxer and best fighter in your country's history, wouldn't you want your son to strive towards the same

 

He doesnt have faith in his son, thinks of him as the fredo of the chavez' and doesnt want him to tarnish the family name:deal

 

Im a HUGE Amir Khan fan (as u can tell by my Avatar) so i want to see all of his enemies crushed but only by the hands of King Khan!

well i just remember this quote in one of the rockys and the son asked rocky why he doesn't teach him how to fight, and rocky says, i fight so you don't have to. i think most fighters have this mentatality which is why their kids got practically no amatuer experience and fight at a late age. tommy hearns son wasn't even allowed in boxing gyms around detroit

 

for real? mistake by thomas, had he allowed it his son might not have been ktfo by felix sturm.
I get his intentions though, no parent wants to see his kid taking punches for a living, especially if the money is there.

Boxers typically fight to escape their enviroment, once they've achived that then they can afford to put their kids through college etc, so they can make a living with their minds rather than their fists.

Sons often do worse than their fathers, probably due to both lofty expectations and that due to their fathers success they don't have the same hunger, the same need to succeed.

 

yeah he wasn't allowed to box until after college. the only fighter's son i know that had a decent amateur record is jorge paez jr. and floyd mayweather perhaps. ran mancini jr. you think about all the other fighter's son didn't grow up fighting, wilfredo vasquez jr, howard davis kid, aaron pryor's kids, etc.
