I did look it up. Like I said 400 ESB members voted and less than half the people scored it for Marquez.

Try repeating this one hundred times - " It was a robbery because he won despite the knock down". One is when you wake up in the morning to keep you going the entire day and the other is upon going to sleep. It would probably be the one that would lull you to sleep if you are having nightmares of the result.

Move on!!! Pac won in the official scorecard. You probably still has the chance to !!! Unlike some whose sanity is dependent to the "idea" that JMM won convincingly.

I won't even debate on who hit the harder because after the fight, someone need to see the plastic surgeon and you who who it was.

  3. Who cares how many people voted for Pacquiao? He did not win that fight. Marquez boxed beautifully from the outside and neutralized Pacquiao's speed. It wasnt a factor at all in their fight. If Cotto does the same thing he can cruise to a victory.

Pacman's last 3 victories are extremely overrated. The last time we saw how Pacquiao had evolved as a fighter was against Marquez and he didnt look too impressive. I can see that he has no amateur background when he fights. He's definitely a more complete fighter now, but he stills makes too many mistakes. If it wasnt for his awesome power, he would look really sloppy. Imagine a guy like Malinaggi throwing punches like Pacquiao does, lunging forward and losing his balance. It would look really ugly. Pacquiao can get away with it because he has great power and a great chin. However, if he can't hurt his opponent, his options are very limited. We learned that from the Marquez fight (I know Marquez was down but almost everyone agrees that if it wasnt for the knockdown, Marquez would have won quite comfortably). If he can't hurt Cotto, and i dont think he can as Cotto has an unbelievable chin, it's going to be a long night for Pacquiao. Cotto's jab is really good too... perfect for boxing from the outside.

I thought Pacquiao looked amazing against Marquez, an incredible fighter who has the perfect style to beat him. You saying Pacquiao didn't look too impressive just makes me :huh

Every boxer has a flaw or flaws, may it mayweather, JMM, Pac, Duran, SRL. It only becomes a flaw when the opponent can exploit it otherwise, it is all hypothetical.

Take for example your God, JMM. For a supposedly defensive genius and master counterpuncher, he seemed very open to many punches, probably because he does not move his feet very much.

Although his last two fights were all by KO, you could argue that Campbell actually was more impressive against the featherfisted Diaz, barring of course the the outcome (meaning that it was more one-sided). Or that Santa Cruz won more rounds against Casa than JMM.

I scored the fight a draw, just like their first fight.

    With a scorecard of 114-112, that means that Pac won 4 rounds and lost 8 (simply 4 x 10 = 40 and 8 x 9 = 72 for a total of 112) while JMM won 8 and lost 4 (8 x 10 = 80 and 4 x 9 = 36 minus 1 for the KD = 35 for a totla of 115.

So there is no way in hell that you could get a score of 114-112 unless of course you do not know how to score a fight.

But then again, you are just like Divac who had this incredible and unbelievable scorecard of 9 rounds to 3 or 8 to 4.

    114-113 JMM

The first fight i had it

    114-113 Pac

So to me i want a trilogy.

  10. He looked good. He boxed very well, there's no question. He was extremely focused and was counterpunching extremely well. However, if u watch the fight closely you will notice that when he's not on the offensive, when he's not coming forward he has a hard time. That's why i said his options are limited. Marquez was beating him to the punch throughout the entire fight and that seemed to confuse Pacquiao.

The way Pacquiao has evolved is unbelievable. The speed at which he has done it is amazing. That might make him seem like he's a better boxer than he actually is. His skill set is top notch but there are quite a few guys out there who can BOX better than him. He's just a better a fighter. Skills like his combined with his power and speed make him the best fighter in the sport. His chin is great too.

I do not know what you were watching but you seem to have an idea that JMM actually outpunch Pac by a mile.

The only round where JMM had significantly outpunch Pac was when the cut occurred. The KD was actually because he beat JMM to the punch. In fact you could say it was a dose of JMM's medicine because it was a counterpunch. It was a very very very very short punch in the middle of exchange, not the usual KO punch coming from pac where it comes from a mile away but in supersonic speed.

  12. No, my child. I had it 7 rounds to 5 in favor of the clear winner, Dinamita Marquez. I scored round 8 a 10-8 for Marquez because he manhandled Pacquiao. You figure out the rest, my child. I'll be so proud of you!

Wow, a 10-8 round with no KD happening and Pac was even on the verge of being KDed. You are the only one aside probably from ""aheeM" who generously gave a 10-8 round.

How much score would you give then when a fighter was punched from one pillar to another pillar while sustaining 3 knockdowns in the process, a broken nose, and swallowed gallons of his own blood? 10-5 round at best or a 10-4 round at worse - that rounbd was ten times worse than that round you were inferring. Or the Pac - Hoya should all be 10-8 rounds because Pac actually outlanded Hoya by more than 10 per round, similar to the round you were referring.

Antoher thing, when it comes to the 3rd round, people selectively ignore the "HOLDING TO THE DEAR LIFE" episode. People generously gave a 10-8 round to a dubious scoring but refuse to even acknowledge that the 3rd round is a 10-7 round (which it should be because the clinging for dear precious life was after a punch).

So much for objectivity and credibility in this board.

:lol:You may be right in that, but what you're failing to point out and are intentionally leaving out is that in that poll Marquez had about a 10% point lead on Pac.....

......I dont know that exact numbers of that poll, but it could have read 48% JMM the winner.....37% Pacquiao the winner......and 15% a draw......

When every single freakin poll is abouts the same numbers I've just pointed out or better, then that tells me that something was'nt on the up and up on the official scorecards.

Btw, the Classic forum which is a more highly respected and competent forum had JMM with over 60% of the vote......

When a poll was raised asking the question was JMM robbed, yes or no......JMM lost that decisively about 60/40 or there abouts, because so many people scored it a draw......
....that however does'nt take from the fact that Marquez held a significant and sizeable lead with boxing fans in polls in boxing forums everywhere when told to post who they thought won the fight.

Say it like it was PH|LLA, dont make a statement and deliberately leave out important facts!:D

"I did not have sexual relations with that women!"
    ......Bill Clinton
Clinton had oral sex performed on him by Monica Lewinsky......but when he made that statement, he took it as not perjuring himself because he was conveniently viewing and not considering oral sex as "sexual relations.":lol::lol:

Juan Manuel Marquez went down 4 times in 2 fights, right, but he dominated 18 rounds out of 24, AND THAT'S WHAT COUNTS.

Nobody cares anymore about the judges scores: in the hearts and minds of all intelligent boxing fans, as confimed by most boxing experts out there, JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ took Manny Pacquiao back to school... TWICE!!

THIS IS WHAT BOXING EXPERTS AND INTERNATIONAL JUDGES THINK ABOUT THE MARQUEZ-PACQUIAO ii FIGHT:

    - Ernesto Castellanos; ESTO: 115-114 Marquez

    COMPUBOX RESULTS - MARQUEZ-PACQUIAO II

TOTAL PUNCHES: Landed- 172 JMM, 157 MP; Thrown- 511 JMM, 619 MP; Pct. 34% JMM, 25% MP.
    JABS: Landed-42 JMM, 43 MP; Thrown- 201 JMM; 314 MP; Pct. 21%JMM, 14% MP.
POWER PUNCHES: Landed-130 JMM, 114 MP; Thrown- 310 JMM, 305 MP; Pct. 42% JMM, 37% MP.

    Overall winner: Juan Manuel Marquez

Pacquiao won the judges' nod based largely on the third-round knockdown, but the CompuBox statistics backed Marquez's assertion that he should have gotten the nod. Though Marquez threw 108 fewer punches (619-511), he landed 15 more (172-157) overall, and the 34-year-old Mexican also amassed a 16-punch edge in power connects (130-114) while throwing just five more (310-305). The only category Pacquiao out-did Marquez was in connected jabs (43-42), but the challenger had to throw 113 more of them (314-201) to do so.

Speaking of damage done, if one broke down solely the power connect totals Marquez would have emerged with the 6-5-1 edge. Marquez won the second (12-9), fifth (10-4), sixth (14-13), seventh (12-, eighth (15-5) and 12th rounds (15-10) while Pacquiao captured the first (8-4), third (9-7), fourth (13-9), ninth (11-9) and 11th rounds (11-10) while the 10th round was even at 13.
