It is a robbery. I do not have to mention name but someone commented that Pac only won 3 rounds.

Now you are debating that it is a close fight and hair-splitting as to whether that punch at so-so minute and so-so second of the fight connected. This is sacrilegious. Now you are destroying the myth that some people tell themselves everyday : JMM schooled Pac a million times. It is like saying that the doctrine of Holy Trinity is false among Roman Catholics.

but it is false & not found anywhere in The Old Testament.. or The New Testament (which I find intriguing as to how they can even be accepted as Holy Books given that, even as per Christian religion & historically, they were not revealed or attributed to divinely-contacted Prophets but rather just men). The word 'trinity' is not mentioned even in an English translation. Nor is a Semitic term for 'trinity' found in any semitic version of the Bible.

Funnily enough, though, the word 'Trinity' IS in the qur'an hah ;).

    sorry, couldn't help myself.

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez II

    Round 1: Pacquiao 10-9 (close)
    Round 2: Marquez 10-9
    Round 3: Pacquiao 10-8
    Round 4: Pacquiao 10-9
    Round 5: Marquez 10–9
    Round 6: Marquez 10-9
    Round 7: Pacquiao 10–9 (close)
    Round 8: Marquez 10-9
    Round 9: Pacquiao 10-9 (close)
    Round 10: Pacquiao 10-9
    Round 11: Marquez 10-9
    Round 12: Marquez 10-9

    Pacquiao 114-113.

In my opinion the 7th round is closer than the 9th. In the 7th Marquez landed three stiff shots in the first 30 seconds (two upstairs one down), Pacquiao landed none, in the second 30 Pacquiao got the better of it slightly, the third 30 was uneventful. When it got heated it looks like its all Pacquiao in real time with the volume on, but it was relatively close with Pacquiao missing a lot of his shots and Marquez replying. The round wraps up with Pacquiao getting the better of the last 40 seconds, giving him the round.

Round 9 for me was clearer for Manny, i find 7 closer.

A-ha! Found my first scorecard & a mate's also (who happened to be on Manny's nuts before this fight but then came round to also admiring Marquez after making him watch this & score it round-by-round too!)

    My scorecard
(*'c' in brackets denoting what IMMEDIATELY after viewing full round I felt to be close):

    Round 1: 10 – 9 Marquez [c!]
    Round 2: 10 – 9 Marquez
    Round 3: 10 – 8 Pacquiao
    Round 4: 10 – 9 Pacquiao
    Round 5: 10 – 9 Marquez
    Round 6: 10 – 9 Marquez
    Round 7: 10 – 9 Pacquiao [c!]
    Round 8: 10 – 9 Marquez
    Round 9: 10 – 9 Marquez [c!]
    Round 10: 10 – 9 Pacquiao
    Round 11: 10 – 9 Marquez [c-ish]
    Round 12: 10 – 9 Marquez

    115-112 Marquez.

I remember being split on either rd7 or 9.. like not just split (which many rounds were like) but I mean, REALLY TORN between a choice.

Also, seems to me that most people's winner comes in who they pick as the winner of the first round. Interesting how if we use 10-10 for the first round it is a DRAW overall for most ppl who go 114-113 either way. And if we go, say, for 10-10s on all the close rounds (most ppl have 1, 7 & 9 as the closest rounds) then Marquez comes out on top 116-114!
In two then 115-114... in just one (first round, as previously stated) 114-114 DRAW.

Hence explaining why there is such a furore about this fight.

The rounds Marquez won, are a lil clearer.. in general!

    My mate's scorecard:

    1-- 10/9 Marquez
    2-- 10/9 Marquez
    3-- 10/8 Pacquiao
    4-- 10/9 Pacquiao
    5-- 10/9 Pacquiao
    6-- 10/9 Marquez
    7-- 10/9 Marquez
    8-- 10/9 Marquez
    9-- 10/9 Marquez
    10-- 10/9 Pacquiao
    11-- 10/9 Pacquiao
    12-- 10/9 Marquez

    114/113 Marquez

    ---

i will however try carefully re-watching it this weekend! Though doubt I'll find the time. May have to wait til next week :D

great you give close rounds to the harder puncher. they landed almost same number of punches and the round must go to the harder puncher

I think the difference was the round 12, and JMM took it IMO.

    JMM by a point.
