why the hell do people always copy my damm threads! http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270550
I disagree with using Pacman as a measuring stick when all 3 fighters were clearly past their primes. And Manny still lost 3 fights with JMM and Morales when they were past their best days just shows how good those Mexican legends really were. MAB was fighting world level opposition way before JMM, Morales, or Pacman were.
Personally I think they rank: Morales MAB JMM H2H I think it would be: MAB>Morales>JMM>MAB. Although I'm not really sure if JMM could beat prime MAB, he struggled enough as it is with a past it one. Morales height and skills would trouble JMM. MAB is a tough fight for Morales cos he can fight well inside.
I always felt that Marquez has more problems with a hard jabber. I think Morales would give him more problems than MAB.
I never liked Barrera, but I don't know why I don't. He's the only other boxer besides emmanuel who I don't like. Obviously, not as far as emmanuel on my list. Morales has the best nickname out of all of them, El Terrible.
:good At the end of the day, it's hard not to want to put Morales at the top of the heap, but all three are right there with each other, on the same level. JMM was the best technically. MAB was maybe the best brawler of the three. Morales though...just awesome to watch in his prime. Brilliant AND a killer. And probably the biggest warrior of the three...he would NEVER let you get the last punch on him, ever.
Nothing to dislike with MAB. Exciting style, great boxer/fighter...nothing in particular annoying, but oh well.
I think Morales would match JMM for skill, if not as good, close enough and Morales can use his height and reach quite well. MAB beat Morales on the inside.
Barrera Legend Morales Legend Marquez Runner Up to these legends How can anyone hate Barrera after what he did to Hamed ? He rid the boxing world of that clown !
All 3 are warriors and great fighters. People fault Morales for quitting but he realized that he just didn't have it anymore and it showed he was shot when he lost to Raheem. I will and any boxing fan with a brain will remember him as a warrior and a pretty smart fighter with a "oh, you're gonna get it after you did that to me" kind of fighter. I used to really dislike MAB because of his dirty kind of style but I've warmed to him a few years back because I found out that everyone tries to use advantages in or outside of the book. MAB was a brawler but turned into more of a technician as his career progressed and I think his third fight with Morales is underrated. JMM, my fav of the bunch though I feel he should be placed just below MAB & EM(Barrera and Morales are interchangable imo). JMM had potential to be ranked with them but I fell he falls just short but the great thing about him is that he's still relevant. A very smart fighter who doesn't know the meaning of "STAY DOWN!!!". He gets up everytime and is a great counterpuncher who throws orgasmic combinations. As a matter of fact, they all throw orgasmic combinations. My order is: MAB/EM JMM All three are great warriors who are great to watch most of the times.
