Ah, I thought you were older for some reason. The teacher thing, probably. I just assume all teachers are at least 33. :conf

 

No long way off my 30's yet mate.

I like r&b from then cos they were all the massive hits when I was at school and college, back when life was simple and my biggest concern was making £30 last on a night out.

Now I'm like a real person run my own house and car, have **** loads of responsibility in my job and I have women problems like no ****er else I know. **** can get stressful but when I hear a bit of ja rule or Nelly it takes me back to simpler times and **** seems much simpler as a result.

'Marquee Moon' is a tremendous album. Try Richard Hell and The Voivods 'Blank Generation', he and Tom Verlaine were in Television together before Hell did his own thing. Quality stuff.

I've read most of Thompsons stuff too, mainly when I was going on a Fear And Loathing-esque run meself Weirder novels are my flavour nowadays though, particularly Thomas Pynchon (not much in his canon but **** me the prose is dense and mental)

Luf, those tunes are literally my most hated I get nostalgic with the likes of Stardust 'Music Sounds Better With You' and Modjo 'Lady'. Love 90s pop.
