Boy are the heavyweights being neglected.

Anyway is the Ali-Blue Lewis fight the most atypical performance you'll see, stylistically at least? Ali fights on the inside, keeps up a sustained body attack, and scores a knockout in round 5 only to have the ref blow it (Lewis was down for about 14, maybe 15 seconds and the ref counted out 9 in 12 seconds - of course you could argue that if he counted faster Lewis would have gotten up faster). In short it's Ali doing everything you hear he couldn't do. Great jab to the body but his work inside is mediocre.

So what do you Americans think of Jarryd Hayne, we Aussies have known he was an exceptional talent for years now, a legend of Rugby League and as a RL Fullback second only to the incredible Billy Slater. Slater may be even better at NFL than Hayne but then again I am an Aussie so know very little about NFL or it's rules so is Hayne in NFL all hype or is he really good ?...

not american but i like the nfl and i've seen him play a couple of nrl matches. he did well in the highlights of that preseason game and the coach sounded positive about him in the post game interview so i'd say he has better than 50/50 of making the roster. maybe playing as a punt/kick returner initially while he gets more practice reading blocks and stuff to be effective running inside, but he's already a threat on the edge/outside.

Great to see you have watched the NRL, it has been awesome this year, I don't think there is a more exciting sport out there nowadays.

story from when ali and some pro wrestlers went to north korea

'Another incident involved Ric Flair and boxing legend Muhammad Ali at a dinner with North Korean dignitaries. During the dinner, some of the North Koreans were rambling about their country’s superiority over the rest of the world. Muhammad Ali then blurted out…”No wonder we hate these mother****ers!” Ric Flair was shocked and scared that Ali said what he said…but pretty much felt the same way. He just wouldn’t have done it then and there'

Pretty much my view on the topic as well. That said l think certain fighters have such unique styles they're hard to replicate. Foreman, Duran, Hearns, SRR and a few more.

HOW TO WRAP HANDS FOR A BOXING WORKOUT

All boxers on a compulsory note wrap their hands with hand wraps, in order to protect their fingers, wrists and knuckles. Hands are the first part of the body to encounter contact with the opponent and this means your hand muscles and wrists are put to work immediately. It is important that your fingers and knuckles are in good condition throughout the match.
