The only real thing I don't like with the game is the fact counters are weighed so much. True, in boxing it only takes one shot to take out an opponent but it's impossible to box for 12 rounds in this game without getting dropped by a flash KD. Unless your chin is top end of course.

Awesome game though, the legacy mode is much more realistic than any prior. I have all 3 belts unified in my division, next I have a defense against Eddie Chambers. Who for some odd reason has 100 power and is above 95 in every attribute, that's the only other thing I don't like. Some guys are supermen in the legacy mode.

 

Yeah you can get hit with a counter and just be out on your feet, which i suppose is right, but i get what you mean in that it happens a lot.

I went Duran and beat Corrales in a war that became one sided

I went Robinson and fought Pavlik, Pavlik knocked me down, and when i rose, the commentator said to Atlas 'how's he going to react to this Teddy?'

Teddy said 'Sugar Ray Robinson, is gunna react like a guy named Sugar Ray Robinson would do' (or something like that, as this was being said i was tearing Pavlik a new one, dropped him, he got up and i finished him, classic. I was made up with that.

 

I use to pretty much all the knockout kings and have played plenty of boxing games such as FN1-3, punch out, mike tysons boxing (terrible!), Rocky (very good), ready 2 rumble and some crazy Japanese boxing game where all you had to do was use this special uppercut move to complete the career mode!

 

Haha, on the special uppercut. I agree with what you said about Tyson's game and on Rocky as well.

Super Punch Out for Super Nintendo was the ****. Funny that they had the Bruiser brothers as the bosses who were basically robots but hit freakin hard, and then the Klitschko brothers came on the HW scene after the game was out

 

Okay so i'm going to see Bruno now instead, i got Hangover on a dvd so i can see that **** anytime, too skint to go out tonight. But either tonight or tomorrow i'll provide a complete scorecard on Ross-McLarnin 3 for McGrain.

I'm reading a book called 'Cuba-A New History' right now, about a few weeks ago i just came across a film called 'the lost city', got it as a little thing for the old man on father's day cos i saw Andy Garcia's face on the front. Anyway, i just got a interested in the Cuban Revolution and read more, and more and more, watched everything i can on youtube, then bought 'Che'.

I'm totally open-minded on subjects though and would never want to come across like i favour any of this historical figures, just simply intrigued by the events, that's all. I wouldn't buy a che t-shirt as i understand the aspect of hypocricy, but i do want one.

 

I know it's about football but i do want to see this show that's being performed locally at the mo called 'one night in istanbul'

 

I hope this thread is still around when American football season starts.

My team won the Super Bowl this year, a record number six, and has it's first preseason game against the team that they beat, The Arizona Cardinals.

 

What did you think of Bruno? Opinion is split in the lounge, but I thought it was awesome.

 

It was insane and hilarious, the whole place was howling with laughter, and it was packed as well. That ***** that's whipping him made me wanna go to one of them parties!!!
