Post your reaction when Ward won

I said "wow", not because I thought he lost, but because the scores 114-113 indicated a draw minus the knockdown, so I thought they were about to award Kovalev the winner.

As soon as i heard it was a unanimous decision i knew Ward had stolen the victory. The UK commentary was incredibly biased so i wasn't surprised with the result, just disappointed.
But that's boxing for you. Hopefully Kovalev will use this as motivation for the rematch.

 

Surprised and delighted the judges made the correct call.

 

No secret I wanted Kovalev but I also know how these things work so I was not suprised or even angry. Just felt bad seeing that level of corruption on full display.

 

I jumped off of my couch fist pumping because I had it 114-113 Ward

 

I laughed hard in embarrassment.

How could they justify giving the title on such a performance by Ward?

Kovalev was an unbeaten champion.

He dominated, hurt and decked Ward. Without ever appearing himself in any trouble.

 

"only in america!!!"

 

Shocked. Same with my dad. They took it from Kov.

 

That was a great fight! Now i can go back to bed as im more tired than the fighters! ( uk crew )

 

What I'm shocked about is people were shocked Ward got the benefit of the doubt with all 3 American judges in the Las Vegas cest pit.

 

My man texted me right away

"That was sum bull**** , Ward got murked"

 

I was not shocked at all after the result in the Previous fight....nothing surprises me in boxing now day's....

 

Shocked that all 3 judges had same scores

 

I wondered why Harold Lederman was still used by HBO because the fight to me was obviously closer than his scorecard indicated.
