hey, just as the title says post your roadwork routine.
Doesn't matter if you run for boxing training or other sport or just do it to keep fit or for fun.
so post up how long, time or distance you run, how many days a week and
also how you mix it up, intervals, hill sprints for example.

    Time:
    Distance:
    How ofter:
    other:

Also how long did it take you to build up to the level u are at just now.

Finally iv just started running hence why im asking all that, I went for my first run this morning it went a bit better than i though but im running in astro turf football boots is this good or bad should i invest in proper running shoes?

I stopped boxing 2 years ago, but I still run.

Im 235 pounds, 6'4. I run around 3-4 miles every day (every day). Never measure time. I start out with a normal pace, and push it towards the end. I could run more but Im a lazy ****er. I just run where my legs take me and back. Sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill.

I ve been running since about 10 years, and I ve boxed before that, so I dont really know how long it took me to build up my stamina.

I think you should some comfortable sneakers for running, as that is really important.

I hate running, although I could do it all night with a ball at my feet!

Went for a walk today with my dog, came across a set of stairs (about 25 on a steep embankment so spent the next 10 minutes sprinting up and down it with my dog. Felt great as the stairs were in intervals of 5 with three steps between each interval. Enjoyed that more than pounding the pavement!

    My old joints are finished.

I go 30 minutes on the elliptical 4 times a week, and swim 30 laps in the pool every day. Other than that, its tons of bag work and sparring that builds my wind.

Monday: Run 4 miles at a good pace. I never time it, but I would say it takes me around 33 minutes.
Tuesday: 3 miles, but this time I run up and down a very steep hill. I focus on shadowboxing with weights more on this day.
Wednesday: 2 miles. Nothing flashy here, but I focus more on shadowboxing and jump-roping this day.

The next 3 days I go to the gym and train much longer so I only run 2 miles as a warm-up.

  8. i could walk 2 miles in 20 minutes

Currently 3 times a week just to keep fit.

A tempo run session for about 25 mins at just under 8 min mile pace

An easy relaxed run for 3 miles at about 9 min mile pace

And a long slow distance run for 4-5 miles between 9 and 9.5 min mile pace.

Used to run a lot more but knees can't take the high mileage anymore. So will keep to shorter distances would like to get down to a 20min 5K time again by the end of the summer.

Time: 40 Minutes on the Elliptical.
    Distance: Approximately 4 Miles
    Incline: 15 Degrees
    Resistance: Level 15

I do this about 4 times a week since last September. Burn an average of 160 Carbs and 900 Calories per run. Helped me improve my stamina by a ton.

    does it ever get easy?!

I decided to do a 4.2km run/walk home tonight, took me 32minutes as the run is all up hill (rises about 70metres) and I was carrying 3kg on my back............. keen to work at it by doing the trip at least twice a week, just not sure if I'll ever look forward to it!
