I don't know how to score a fight but somehow the judges pretty much always have the same scores as I do. Meanwhile Caddie over here scores the fight a shutout when even the California judge gave 2 rounds to Kessler.
9 was definitely a Kessler round, then he was probably worth at least one of 2,5 and 6. Judges cards were pretty much bang on for me.
They were reaching, like you are. But, I'm sure if I asked the judges what they thought of the fight, the last word out of their mouths would be "competitive".
the ward jab was the best punch of the fight....and landed cleanly in all the rounds..... rounds 5 and 6 were the ONLY rounds kessler landed anything big, and momentarily stopped the momentum of ward.....but I just couldnt give those rounds to kessler...
The judges scored that fight that way because they are on crack. The Italian judge gave Froch the 11th. Now go rewatch that round and tell me if he wasnt on crack. Let me guess you scored Malignaggi vs Diaz for Diaz and Cintron vs Martinez a draw right?
Participating in this armchair judging of the fight implies that you implicitly condone the performance of the referee, which I don't, so no scores here. However, from the POV of an armchair referee, I think I may have DQ'ed Ward, in which the judging would have been irrelevant.
I didnt see this thread sorry for the double post! Mods feel free to merge em. 99-91 ward the 5th was close and I gave kessler the 9th
I think I gave Kessler 2 rounds. Some rounds were competitive but Ward landed the clean punches throughout the fight.
Kessler took round 5 and 9, round 2 was even, in round 11 he was doing fine, and i dont understand the stoppage. But he clearly lost that fight.
