I wouldn't say the robbery was as big as the Paul Williams-Erislandy Lara robbery, because a lot of the rounds that Abril won were not one sided (The rounds which I gave to Rios were also not one-sided). But still- a fight is a fight and the guy who won more rounds should have won. And in this fight Richard Abril CLEARLY won more rounds than Brandon Rios. What are your scorecards?

It's good to see this thread cause I've only see the first 3 rounds (youtube) and I've got it 3-0 Rios and I'm thinking that everyone has gone totally bat**** insane.

I can see that too, but I think you can give Rios 2 or 3 rounds. Rios landed some good punches in the first 3 rounds, but the real story of the fight is that Abril clearly won.

lol. I know what you mean. I also didnt see the fight live, I just came on eastside and saw everybody writing "what an unbelievable robbery", and then later I when I watched the fight myself I was like "oh man, Rios has won at least 2 rounds of the first 3, whats going on here?"
but later Abril basically won every round.

117-111 Abril, Rios is very limited verses some styles, Sure he was weigh drained but I doubt it would have fixed too much if he wasn't but never know, I'll still take Rios-Marquez seeing as it's two aggressive fighters so Rios will give Marquez some trouble.

    118-110.

Could give Rios round 2, but I thought Abril did the better work in that stanza. Had Bam Bam winning rounds 7 and 9. But even then, a case could be made for Abril winning those frames as he was landing cleaner shots and general controlling the tempo of the fight. I don't think there was any point where I would have wanted to have been Rios during that entire contest.
