I agree with some of your arguement, but Wlad doesnt have an uppercut, when it comes to fighters getting on the inside Wlad clinches and holds on for dear life. Peters style can beat Wlads, Wlads weak chin will be exposed by the Nightmare Sam Peter.:yep

 

I would root for Peter, no doubt. But how about the 3 knockdowns against McCline? Wladimir is more than capable of doing the same thing - and probably finishing him off.

 

Wlad has been working on an uppercut & using it to a limited effect, in both of his 2 most recent fights. He nailed Brewster pretty good with it.

Yeah, but an uppercut is not a punch Wlad uses often, Im not saying he couldnt throw one its just I cant see him using to the extent of Mccline. We both know Brewster is usually target practice for anyone, even if he was a 100% or not.

I think we both could agree that Peter would not only be a more exciting fight for Wlad, but also a more competitive battle as well.

 

Not the current versions of both fighters, it seems Wlad has improved drastically and Peter has declined. Can it be that we've already seen Peter's "prime"?

 

He hasn't declined in terms of his skills. He is developing a better overall skillset and has been in very good condition recently. His chin hasn't looked nearly as good as it did against Wladimir, so in that sense, that is the area he has declined in.

 

RUSKULL thinks everyone else is far below Wlad he cant see another heavywieght improving besided Wlad, what he dont understand no matter how good Wlad gets his chin will always be weak which gives anyone and everyone in the division a chance to win.

On a different note, Peter has improved his head movement, jab, and showed great body work against Mccline. Peter will show his huge power against Maskaev in february, look for his popularity to increase 10 fold after his mauling of Maskaev.:yep

Half the reason I put Peter ahead of Wlad is just to **** with RUSKULL, I do think Peter got a good chance of beating him though.

 

That's your criteria - everybody has a different preferance and unless the threat specifies a specific criteria, anything's fair game

 

Its common knowledge, people should know without the thread starter stating the criteria.

True, most rate it based on accomplishments but there are those (like China_hand_Joe) who do it based on ability.

Like Punisher said, he did it just to **** with RUSKULL.

 

He absolutely has a good shot. If he is able to actually land a couple real power shots this time, Wlad will do the Jeckyll-and-Hyde thing and will more than likely be looking up from the canvas. :yep
