Postponed Jacobs vs Mora II fight to happen at September 9th

    The much anticipated rematch between Danny Jacobs and Sergio Mora has been posponed after Jacobs was pulled from the July 30 fight because of an ankle injury.

    The fight was supposed to be for Danny's "Regular" WBA middleweight strap and should have been his first fight this year after last year's 1st round blowout of former WBO beltholder Quillin.

    Doesn't anyone care about this potential barnburner being postponed? :conf

    What we do know for certain though, is that GGG vs Jacobs isn't going to happen anytime soon, if some were actually believing there was a legit chance.

    always sad when a meaningless fight is postponed rather than being scr-apped altogether. No one's clammoring for this, they both should just move on.

    Jacobs has a fragile chin which Mora nearly broke in their first fight. GGG will take him out. He went after Quillin so aggressively because if the fight went on Quillin would have landed and put Jacobs on the canvas.

    Think bigger. It's not about Jacobs avoiding GGG. This is about Al keeping Jacobs out of the ring via injury until GGG's September fight is set (hopefully, for Al, against Lara) so he can maintain mandatory status and Al can get two GGG paydays instead of just one.
