No way. If this was anyway near a motorway or fields near a roadside, Saunders would be far too distracted to focus on Smith as he would always be keeping an eye out for any potential roadkill. That would be dinner sorted out at least.

I agree with you, I never rated bjs until I watched him school Lemmy. It was such a good performance, and he made it look so easy. Apart from being huge for the weight class I don't think Smith is particularly good. So i would pick bjs even though I think he is a bit of a dick, that whole thing where his kid punched (D'nam I think) in the nuts was crap, it would have been funny if D'nam slapped his head.

Rough ballpark estimate of what the height differential would be between Saunders and Callum, will probably be similar to Holzken, who's 5'11 1/2, Saunders is flat 5'11.

I think it's a bad move for Saunders. Callum is too big and good, I personally don't think anyone moves up and beat him. Callum does nothing bad, he's defensively responsible, he's big, he's not slow, he's strong physically, his hook to the body is great, he's good at stalking. There's nothing you can point to with him that someone smaller can take advantage of. Saunders is very good but I don't think he beats Smith. I don't think anyone does at this point. Callum's biggest competition will be once he moves to the LHW division.

Disclaimer: my personal horse in the race at SMW is Benavidez, but objectively I'd even have a hard time picking my fave guy in the division against him

Evidently Smith didn't want any of that gypsy slickness smoke....

    Mundo went QUACK QUACK/

Ducks Saunders for Saunders leftovers in John Ryder. Hopefully that savage right hook of John's shatters Callum's cowardly mandible to smithereens.

To be fair to Smith, ducking a gypsy is much less of a pugilistic sin than ducking a non-gypsy aka mortals and ducking a slick gypsy even less so, let alone pulling a duck against the Slickest Gypsy on the Planet.

Smith wins, imo. Size too much. Hope BJS goes back to middle.

I'd hope to see BJS KO'd. Nothing personal, I just don't like inactive fighters who hold up divisions and muck their opponents about. Having him KO'd might see him show a bit more urgency/professionalism and that would be a good thing both for him and British boxing.

BJS is like Fury ,they are both overrated featherfisted drug cheats and I don’t believe it will happen.

If Saunders comes in tip top shape I might favour him to outbox Smith. But, more likely, he's missing a step, and after a promising start Callum's size and strength begin to tell and he stops BJS. Saunders' form has been too erratic for me to pick him.
